Instead of "How's it going? It looks good on me?" why not simply use "How do I look?" Cheers :)

We have chosen this option, because as any person would do, when using a quality, skill or in this case a power for the first time, they would ask if it has worked well.

Then I would still write it like this : "How did I do? Does it look good on me?" This speech has the same effect as you intended only much easier to understand. If you ask me. Now , with the first sentence it is like she is asking how the other person is doing. Example : Person A : "How's it going?" Person B : "I'm fine, thank you" To exemplify my reasoning above : Person A : "How did I do?" Person B : "You did great for your first time, classy and attractive. Excellent!" Take your advantage with my reasoning, it's your choice of course, but a good graphic story has on one side its graphics and on the other side a good readable story.
