Jae Song comes from a wealthy family with ties to powerful figures in the music industry.  It would be fair to say that she had an unfair advantage as a result, but her talent as a performer is not without merit.  Jae is a gifted singer and pianist, as well as a competent songwriter, photographer and graphic designer.  While her songwriting abilities pale in comparison to Reika, her ambition and stage presence are unmatched.  As a performer and a public figure, Jae exudes confidence.  There's a fire to her presence that Reika could never hope to compete with.

From the outside it may have seemed like her acceptance into the Valir Institute of the Arts was solely thanks to her parents, but Jae has very much earned her place at the prestigious academy.
