i consider an author has something interesting to tell when he makes his characters suffer for a reason and when this suffering stays.
For exemple, I hate it when a character is shown dying but reappears later unharmed (we see you, Pound and Kinemon !), or when a character is hurt be just get healed at the end of the fight or doesn't suffer any significant loss after it (Isn't that right, litterally any fight of Fairy Tail ?).

So I guess you may understand why I love Kirishima's work in general and Mirko character in particular...
