It's probably a tradeoff, the kind of discomfort a belly like that bring in weightlessness or in simulated gravity.

you ever just... come back from vacation and feel like you need a whole other vacation to recover? that's me right now. I freaked out that I was gonna run out of pages by the end of the month but then I remembered that it's the middle of August, not the beginning.

The affects of gravity is a nice touch. Also, why do spaceships have ventilation systems things can hide in? I’m pretty sure real space stations don’t have those.

Once again your background work is phenomenal

Ok, I looked it up and it turns out that the ISS DOES have a ventilation system, but it's sort of multiple big boxy things that sit in various corners and scrub CO2 from the air. https://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/20100017014.pdf Maybe something small can hide in there, but they're not gonna be able to travel to different parts of the ship like in Alien.

I really don't understand what "Martian too much" means. Could someone else explain?

They're spinning the habitat to simulate gravity. She's asking if simulated Martian gravity is uncomfortable for her.
