After The American Wet Dream ends, I'm presented with an option.  Since I don't plan on any future comics being 200 page epics, we have the possibility of tweaking my standard update schedule a bit.

Option 1) Continue as is, Updating a Parody comic once per week (Wednesday) and the Original comic once per week (Saturday). Pro: Two comics going, so if you don't like one, you have another to look forward to. Con: Takes twice as long for comics to finish.

Option 2) Start updating the current comic twice per week. And once a comic ends, alternate to the other comic type (either Parody or Original).  Pro: A comic is released twice as fast. Con: Only one comic running at a time.

So, for example, with option 2- when The American Wet Dream ends, new pages of The Book Club would post on Wednesday and Saturday until it ends, then a Parody comic would take its place, also updating Wednesday and Saturday until it is over, then back over to an Original comic, etc.

I have seen Option 2 go badly for premium comic creators. The more comic lines you have running the more likely an individual person is going to like something in your current output schedule. If someone doesn't like anything in your output schedule they might decide to pause their contribution until you are making something that they like again. This might seem like you should go with Option 2 so that you can cycle through the individual projects faster, however the real problem is in the pause. People tend to have a bit of inertia on Patreon, so once they're a patron they'll stay there but once they pause they are less likely to come back.

Agree on the comment by Brad. I would be less likely to continue if the content in the original comics wasn’t appealing to me. While I don’t expect another 200 page epic, even a 25 page one would take over two or three months to be done. Inertia is good but once in motion... I voted for Option 1 for that reason. I prefer the parodies so an update two or three times a month will keep me more inert.

Yeah, I know that will be a potential problem. Each side has its drawbacks. That's what I meant when I put the con "Only one comic at a time." If someone decides they don't like the thing running at that moment, they may decide to drop. On the other hand, another pro is that its a bit easier for me to get a little more consistent with the art, if I am not juggling multiple art styles back and forth.

Yeah, a comic that is 8-12 pages is probably more likely for most of the Parody works. So 4-6 weeks, which is a little over a month. Some of my Original stories tend to get a bit longer, so a comic like Book Club could run for like 3 months. But the flip side of that is, if its only updating once a week, that's 6 months of Book Club for the same page count.

I vote on option 2 because there is a lot of diverse content besides just the comics to keep people interested and stick around. but it also makes it easier for Comics to get finished to start new ones but Granite people don't necessarily have to stick around for that but people who care about the content will
