Parody vs. Original Survey (Patreon)

A recent conversation brought this to mind, and I thought I'd do a quick survey to see where you all stand. 

What would you say is your split in interest between my Parody work and my Original Characters?

Example: 40% Parody / 60% Original

80/20 in favor of OC. That 20% is more dedicated for like superhero stuff and maybe some of the Francine stuff. The other parody stuff doesnt do that much for me regarding the topic. But i love all the art in general!

So, how would you break that down in a percentage split? Is it like 60% Parody/40% Original? Or is it more like 99% parody and 1% Maggie?

I lean towards the parody side, about 85% to 15%. Love the Wet Dream comic and other parodies you’ve done.

70/30 OC/parody. really like your OC, but you also have great parodies

75/25 In favor of parody. American Wet Dream is how I found you and it's what I stay for... Though Randi is what actually made me a patron.

I agree with Brad Celski, your A.W.D. is how I found out about your work but your OCS and comics are why I became a patron. So with that being said I would have to place my percentages at 55 OC / 45 Parody. Because like all people, some of your characters are not my cup of tea, but they are part of the story's that I like, so be it, it doesn't change the fact that you produce great comic story lines which is what, I, appreciate the most over all. So as always, Thanks for the art.

why make a set split? just draw what comes up. maybe make some more time to do commission work.

I’m super interested in American Dad and Family Guy parody, also Incredibles shout out to Shadman at Shadbase and his Incestibles I love that your creating your own, but I’m just a comic newb. PS American Wet Dream is superb! I’d spread the word for you and share if I knew how. Other than word of mouth Keep up the great work.

This is really just to gauge people's interests. More informational than anything else. In general though, I would much rather create my own work than do commission work. And having a set schedule keeps me in a routine. If I didn't have a dedicated split to Parody and Original, you would most likely see less and less Parody as time went on.

Does this mean you have no interest in the Original character work? I am just trying to get a gauge of people's preferences.
