444. The Ninth Bloodline, the True Dragon Bloodline! The Deep Sea Overlord, the Kun Clan!

"The blood of the true dragon... isn't it in you?" Lin Fei stared at Green King, making him feel uneasy.

"Master... what are you talking about?" Green King asked with a trembling voice.

"Green King, since you've already crossed the Dragon Gate and are no longer a green carp, but a dragon fish, don't you have the bloodline of the true dragon within you?" Lin Fei inquired.

Green King's heart skipped a beat. Had Lin Fei set his sights on the true dragon bloodline in his body? But the blood of the Azure Flood Dragon King also contained a dragon bloodline.

Regardless, Green King dared not deceive Lin Fei and said bravely, "Master, it's true that I have the bloodline of the true dragon in my body. If you need it, I can offer you some."

Lin Fei, picking up on the implied message, glanced at Azure Flood Dragon King and commented, "The Azure Flood Dragon King has the blood of the azure dragon in him, which is also a dragon bloodline, but it's too diluted. You're different. You've just crossed the Dragon Gate, and your true dragon bloodline is abundant.

Moreover, you can even increase the bloodline in your body. All you need to do is devour, right? Consume whatever exotic beasts you need, as long as they aren't mythical creatures or divine-grade beasts. This way, you can accumulate a vast amount of true dragon blood, and I can extract your bloodline without harming you. Are you willing?"

What could Green King say? Even if Lin Fei decided to completely drain the blood from his body, what could Green King possibly object to? His very life and death were at Lin Fei's whim. So, without hesitation, Green King nodded, "Master, I agree. Why don't you try integrating my bloodline into yours first?"

Accepting the suggestion, Lin Fei made a move. Green King promptly produced a few droplets of essence blood, each drop rich with his potent true dragon bloodline. Lin Fei integrated it into his body, pure and concentrated, freshly taken from Green King who had just transformed.

Soon after, a system notification echoed in Lin Fei's mind.

"Your azure dragon bloodline has absorbed a significant amount of true dragon blood, increasing the cultivation progress by 50%. Your azure dragon bloodline was too diluted. With the influx of true dragon blood, it's becoming diluted and is gradually transforming into a true dragon bloodline..."

"System."

Lin Fei immediately accessed the system to check.

Host: Lin Fei

Martial Arts Realm: Late-stage Martial King

Supreme Saber Dao Bloodline: Perfection

Grand Yin Wind Dao Bloodline: Perfection

Triple Yin True Fire Bloodline: Perfection

Supreme Yang Heavenly Thunder Bloodline: Perfection

Annihilation Frost Bloodline: Perfection

Earth Pulse Divine Mountain Spirit Communication Bloodline: Perfection

Endless Vitality Green Wood Bloodline: Perfection

Phoenix Bloodline: Perfection

True Dragon Bloodline: Beginner (82%)

Looking at the system panel, Lin Fei noticed that he had a total of nine bloodlines. However, the ninth one, originally the Azure Dragon bloodline, had transformed into the True Dragon bloodline.

This was the first time Lin Fei had encountered such a situation. It was likely due to the fact that the Azure Dragon bloodline was a derivative of the True Dragon bloodline.

The change was probably influenced by the dominant True Dragon bloodline from Green King. At the moment, the True Dragon bloodline was just at a beginner level. However, Lin Fei had only absorbed a single drop of essence blood. There were more to come...

Lin Fei continued to merge with the essence blood from Green King.

"Your True Dragon bloodline has progressed to Mastery!"

As Lin Fei incorporated more of the True Dragon bloodline, it quickly reached mastery. However, after reaching mastery, the progression slowed down. Especially after ten drops, Green King seemed to be at his limit.

"Master, I..."

Understanding that Green King was reaching his breaking point, Lin Fei stopped. "Green King, that's enough for today. Go and devour the sea beasts. Accumulate ten drops of essence blood and bring them to me. If you encounter a sea beast that's too difficult to handle, come find me. But with your strength, I believe you'll manage."

Lin Fei gave his orders, and Green King responded, "Yes, Master." He then left immediately, even taking his subordinates with him. As for escaping, that was impossible.

If Lin Fei sensed Green King straying too far, he could annihilate him with a mere thought. Plus, with the connection of their bloodlines, there was a deep bond that would alert Lin Fei of any mischief.

So, Lin Fei took a brief rest in the ancestral land of the Azure Flood Dragon clan. Meanwhile, the Azure Flood Dragon King began to settle the members of his clan, ensuring their propagation and selecting a new Azure Flood Dragon King. After all, the Azure Flood Dragon King couldn't stay on the island forever. He was Lin Fei's servant and had to return to guard Great Chang.

Green King became even more brutal. At first, he was cautious, slowly expanding his territory. Under the guise of territorial expansion, he devoured some sea beasts, making it hard for other sea beasts to notice anything unusual. They were unaware that he was trying to increase his True Dragon bloodline.

However, after being defeated by Lin Fei and becoming his servant, Green King no longer bothered to conceal his intentions and showed no restraint.

Whenever he encountered a sea beast that could enhance his True Dragon bloodline, he would devour it immediately. His strength was formidable, making him a match for even the top king-level exotic beasts. It's probable that only ancient rare species could challenge him.

Thus, in the nearby seas, Green King acted with impunity, wildly consuming countless sea beasts. But he didn't gain much from these actions himself. Every time his True Dragon bloodline surged, he felt closer to his transformation into a dragon.

However, he had to crystallize the essence blood and hand it over to Lin Fei. Consequently, while Lin Fei's strength kept increasing, Green King remained stagnant. He even began to doubt if he would ever successfully transform into a dragon.

However, Green King's reckless devouring of sea beasts eventually angered the titans among them. Those who had been lurking in the deep seas for tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of years—genuine rulers of the deep, beings of myths and legends.

At this moment, at the bottom of the deep sea, many sea beasts gathered, seemingly lamenting about something. Their cries echoed through the depths, "If the Ancestral Spirit has grace, we hope he awakens."

"Great Ancestor, if you don't wake up, we will be completely devoured."

"That Green King is too domineering. He's like a bottomless pit, crazily consuming the exotic beasts in the ocean."

"Our Kun clan is on the verge of extinction."

"Great Ancestor, are you still there?"

This was the lament of the Kun clan from the depths of the sea. Legends spoke of a clan known as Kun in the deep sea. Their ancestor, a ruler of the deep sea, was the legendary Kun from myths.

But nobody had ever seen this Kun. Even members of the Kun clan hadn't seen him. They had only heard rumors passed down through generations that their ancestor Kun was in deep slumber within the ocean depths, and they were instructed not to disturb him. But now, facing the threat of extermination, they had no choice but to seek help from their legendary ancestor.

445. The Kun Clan Calls Upon Their Ancestor with Blood; The Ancient Being Awakens!

No matter how much the Kun Clan pleaded, there was no response from the deep sea. It was as if their ancestor didn't exist.

"Could the legend be false?"

"Is there really no ancestor in the deep sea?"

"Are we even part of the Kun Clan anymore?"

Many of the Kun Clan's exotic beasts felt despair. Green King was too powerful. They didn't even know what his original form was. The king-level beasts among them were swallowed whole by Green King.

Moreover, Green King claimed that the Kun Clan's bloodline was exceptionally unique and continued to pursue and consume them. How could they not be desperate under these circumstances? Their only hope now was their ancestor.

However, there was no sign of the ancestor awakening. Or perhaps, there was no ancestor to begin with...

"Hehe, so you all fled here," Green King arrived, having pursued the Kun Clan to this location. Seeing so many of them gathered, he was overjoyed. Once he devoured these members, he would be able to gather enough essence blood.

Perhaps, when Lin Fei's True Dragon bloodline was complete, Green King wouldn't need to produce essence blood anymore, and he could finally be free. Hence, Green King had to give it his all.

"However, coming here is of no use. Devour!" Without any hesitation, Green King opened his massive mouth and fiercely inhaled.

A resonating hum filled the air. Many from the Kun Clan struggled and screamed, trying to escape, but it was futile against Green King's might.

"Ah..."

"Ancestor, save me!"

"Even if I die, I won't let you succeed! Explode!"

"I swear upon the blood of the Kun in me, I hope the ancestor hears my cry and saves our clan..."

Despite their dire circumstances, the Kun Clan displayed resolve. Many chose to self-destruct. Instantly, the seabed was dyed a deep red. Using their blood and lives as a price, they hoped to awaken the sleeping Kun from the legends. Yet, they were uncertain if such an ancestor truly existed. They were just giving it their all.

"Hehe, futile," Green King chuckled dismissively, "Do you really believe an ancestor is sleeping? If there were such an ancestor, wouldn't you have become the rulers of the deep sea long ago? Why would you have fallen into this state? It's better to be devoured by me and suffer less."

Green King continued his feast, unbothered. However, as the blood of the Kun Clan dyed the seabed, changes began to emerge. The seawater turned crimson and, surprisingly, started to form a vortex, reminiscent of a bottomless pit. It voraciously absorbed the blood around it. The vortex grew larger, spreading in every direction.

"Thump, thump, thump."

At that moment, many exotic beasts had heard it, echoing from the ocean's depths. It was a faint, rhythmic beating, as though it resounded directly within the minds of the myriad exotic beasts.

"That heartbeat..."

A shiver ran through the Green King. Its visage was one of sheer horror. This was no illusionary sound; it was a genuine heartbeat. And with its emergence, the Green King felt an overwhelming palpitation. So potent was this external heartbeat that it seemed to synchronize with the Green King's own.

As the heartbeat intensified, agony etched itself across the Green King's features. Its heart was now enslaved to this external rhythm, a beat that was entirely incongruent with its very being. Such was the discord that the Green King appeared to be tearing itself apart from the inside out.

"Damnation, what exotic beast could this be? Why is the Kun clan unaffected? Could it truly be the ancestor of the Kun clan?"

Shock coursed through the Green King.

At that moment, the Kun clan too discerned the anomaly. The Green King had suddenly ceased its attack, seeming to be immobilized in the abyssal depths. Its expression was twisted in torment, as though plagued by some unspeakable dilemma.

Of course, they too had heard the uncanny heartbeat. Yet, they felt no pain. On the contrary, with each intensified beat, they felt surges of power coursing through their veins. It was as if they were being blessed by some arcane force. Furthermore, an ineffable presence, both immensely familiar yet supremely revered, began to rise.

"It must be the Ancestor awakening!"

"Our Kun clan's Ancestor has awoken!"

"How, out of the blue, has the Ancestor of the Kun clan awakened? There was no prior indication!"

"Could it be that the fresh blood within us has stirred the Ancestor, signaling its impending revival?"

"This isn't good. The heartbeat is fading. Could the Ancestor be slipping back into slumber?"

"We cannot allow the Ancestor to sleep again. He must awaken, or facing the Green King, we are doomed."

The Kun clan recognized the gravity of their situation. Their circumstances were far from favorable. The Green King seemed to be momentarily "stunned" by the Ancestor's heartbeat, granting them a brief respite.

But retreat was not an option. No matter how far they fled, the Green King would inevitably catch up. And even now, they lacked the means to vanquish the Green King. Even if it stood paralyzed, subject to their every assault, they couldn't bring it down. Their only hope was the awakening of the Ancestor, and they were prepared to pay any price.

"Awaken the Ancestor with our blood!"

In that instant, all members of the Kun clan forcibly drew forth the fresh blood from within themselves, and with resounding fervor declared, "With our blood, we summon the Ancestor!" Almost immediately, the rich hue of their blood dyed the entire ocean floor a deep crimson. Every drop of it belonged to the Kun clan.

"Hum."

In the next instant, the previously observed whirlpool expanded more than tenfold. Concurrently, that eerie heartbeat escalated ten times in pace.

And what was even more terrifying, the Green King could distinctly sense a formidable life force emanating instantaneously from that vast oceanic maelstrom. The very essence of life within instilled a deep-rooted fear in it— a suppression of life.

Only superior beings can exert such a life-dominating pressure upon those of lesser stature. And the Green King, with its true dragon lineage, was a monarch among exotic beasts. On the cusp of metamorphosing into a dragon due to its potent bloodline, yet still subject to such profound life suppression. How terrifying must this being be?

"Go, leave at once!"

Fear gripped the Green King's very soul, and it dared not linger any longer. As for its heartbeat being entranced, rendering its entire body immobile, there was a simple remedy.

"Explode!"

The Green King chose self-destruction. In an instant, it transformed into a mist of blood. However, this blood mist quickly ascended with the essence of the Green King, shooting towards the ocean's surface. For a being of the Green King's caliber, even death was a challenge. Thus, it opted for self-detonation, turning into a blood mist, and using that form to make a swift escape.

"Who has awakened me?"

From the depths of the ocean, the Green King faintly discerned an immense, mysterious, and terrifying voice that sent chills down its spine. With urgency, it made its escape towards the island of the Azure Flood Dragon clan.

446. The Culmination of the Nine Bloodlines! The Emergence of an Exotic Beast in the Sea!

"Just a bit more essence blood and the True Dragon bloodline should reach perfection!" Lin Fei murmured softly, perched upon a rock on the island.

Lin Fei's cultivation took place right there, on the island, without the need for any secret chambers. After all, no one dared approach his vicinity. This vast area was deemed forbidden, off-limits to the members of the Azure Flood Dragon clan.

The King of the Azure Flood Dragons stood guard beside Lin Fei, carrying out any tasks he was assigned. This arrangement seemed to greatly please the Flood Dragon King, now relegated to a mere guardian.

And Green King? He was the laborer, ceaselessly busy, venturing into the vast ocean to devour exotic beasts and gather their essence blood. Each return saw him in a rather battered state, much to the Flood Dragon King's secret delight.

"Swish!" Green King returned once again.

The Flood Dragon King snorted coldly, "The Master is inside. I hope you've brought enough essence blood this time."

Green King, looking haggard, ignored the Flood Dragon King and hastened to Lin Fei, panic flickering across his face. "Master, I fear I've encountered great trouble," he said in a low voice.

"What kind of trouble?" Lin Fei glanced at Green King.

"Master, in my quest to gather True Dragon essence blood for you, I've been hunting the Kun clan deep in the sea. Their strength was mediocre at best. However, it seems I've awakened an ancient ancestor of the Kun clan in the deep sea. A terrifying entity has been roused. Sensing danger, I fled back here."

Lin Fei's eyebrows rose in intrigue. "The ancient ancestor of the Kun clan? What is that? Could it be the mythical Kun?"

Lin Fei looked at Green King in astonishment. This green carp seemed to have a knack for attracting formidable and fearsome enemies. In just this short period, he had invoked such a powerful adversary. Of course, Green King had still managed to escape back. And after all, he was serving Lin Fei's purposes.

Lin Fei did not reprimand him but simply nodded, "Bring forth the essence blood."

"Master, this time I've managed to condense about twenty drops of essence blood..."

Green King skillfully produced the twenty drops of essence blood. Despite the pain it caused him, he had no choice. He was now Lin Fei's servant, bound to do as commanded.

As for transforming into a dragon, Lin Fei had made no promises. But likely, only after Lin Fei ascended to the Martial Gods could Green King slowly accumulate his own essence blood and strive for his transformation.

"Good, do not venture out for now. Stay here with the Azure Flood Dragon King," Lin Fei instructed.

"Yes, Master."

With that, Green King retreated. After his departure, Lin Fei gazed at the twenty drops of essence blood before him. "This should be enough! Hopefully, this time the True Dragon bloodline will reach its full potential!" Lin Fei had been waiting for this moment far too long.

"Merge!"

The next moment, Lin Fei opened his mouth and swallowed. Instantly, all twenty drops of True Dragon essence blood were ingested. A thunderous rumble resonated within him, as a terrifying aura emanated from his body. Meanwhile, Lin Fei's True Dragon bloodline, already transcendent, was now hurtling toward completion.

50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%...

With the absorption of the twenty drops of essence blood, Lin Fei's True Dragon bloodline cultivation finally reached 100%.

"Boom!"

In that instant, Lin Fei's True Dragon bloodline was perfected. Suddenly, his body uncontrollably transformed into a colossal figure, a manifestation of the awakened True Dragon bloodline.

Lin Fei's entire being radiated immense strength, and a phantom of a true dragon loomed behind him, overlooking all beings with a fearsome presence.

"Is it done?" The Azure Flood Dragon King and Green King abruptly looked up. They exchanged glances, both visibly shaken. As king-level exotic beasts with True Dragon bloodlines themselves, they were acutely sensitive to such transformations.

The overwhelming pressure emanating from Lin Fei was unmistakable – the True Dragon bloodline had reached its zenith. And, if they remembered correctly, this was Lin Fei's ninth bloodline.

Martial Kings, upon perfecting nine bloodlines, could attempt to break through to the realm of Martial Gods. The thought left the Azure Flood Dragon King and Green King with mixed feelings.

Deep down, they hoped Lin Fei wouldn't achieve Martial God status, for if he did, they would be bound to him for generations. Yet, they also didn't want him to perish, as their fates were tied to his. It was a dilemma.

Lin Fei's True Martial King Form, merely a hundred meters tall, hovered in the void.

"System," he called out, and the system panel appeared.

Host: Lin Fei

Martial Realm: Late Stage Martial King

Supreme Saber Dao Bloodline: Perfection

Grand Yin Wind Dao Bloodline: Perfection

Triple Yin True Fire Bloodline: Perfection

Supreme Yang Heavenly Thunder Bloodline: Perfection

Annihilation Frost Bloodline: Perfection

Earth Pulse Divine Mountain Spirit Communication Bloodline: Perfection

Endless Vitality Green Wood Bloodline: Perfection

Phoenix Bloodline: Perfection

True Dragon Bloodline: Perfection

Lin Fei observed the densely packed list of bloodlines on the system panel. Nine bloodlines, now all perfectly complete. This meant he had met the minimum criteria to challenge the Martial God realm.

However, this was just the beginning. To truly ascend to Martial Gods, a Martial King must not only perfect nine bloodlines but also possess a steadfast "Dao". But what was Lin Fei's "Dao"?

Without a "Dao," Lin Fei would find it immensely challenging to achieve the status of Martial Gods. Ascension to godhood is a process of "realizing the Dao," a qualitative transformation, even more significant than the leap from a master to a martial saint.

Regardless of Lin Fei's power, his essence remained human. But upon becoming a Martial God, his very essence would transform. No longer merely human, he would become a deity.

How can a mortal become a god? Even if a god's power were to be thrust upon a human, it would not be a blessing but a catastrophe. Mortals lack the conviction to wield such divine power. The "Dao" helps a Martial King bear the power of a god. This process is the realization of the Dao.

The journey from Martial King to Martial Gods is arduous and nearly impossible. Ninety-nine percent of Martial Kings fall, never reaching the realm of Martial Gods. The transformation from human to god is a metamorphosis coveted by all life forms, including exotic beasts. When a king-level beast transforms into a god-level entity, it becomes the stuff of myths and legends.

The same is true for Qi cultivators: the transition from Nascent Soul to Deity Transformation signifies immortality and an ability to manifest in myriad forms, a feat both terrifying and awe-inspiring.

But Lin Fei faced a dilemma: where was his "Dao," and how could he realize it?

As Lin Fei pondered, the sea suddenly churned into a massive whirlpool, with towering water spouts erupting skywards. The entire ocean seemed to go mad, roaring and raging.

Amidst the enormous whirlpool and water spouts, a colossal exotic beast began to emerge. Its appearance instantly exerted a fearsome life-force pressure. The Azure Flood Dragon King and Green King were utterly suppressed, an overwhelming dominance of life and bloodline.

Fear gripped Green King, who couldn't help but cry out, "Master, that... that is the awakened being of the Kun clan!"

"The awakened being of the Kun clan?" Lin Fei mused. "Could it be the real divine beast Kun?"

He gazed at the terrifying exotic beast. Below the waves, its massive body seemed to stretch for thousands of miles. Anyone witnessing this fearsome creature, possibly the legendary Kun, would be struck with awe.

447. The Mythical Kun? Lin Fei, Enhanced by Nine Great Bloodlines, Battles the Giant Kun!

"Kun!" Lin Fei exclaimed. "A life form from legends, rivaling the Phoenix and the True Dragon. No, perhaps even more ancient, mysterious, and powerful." He stared intently at the immense creature in the sea. Though it had not revealed its full body, the glimpses of its enormous form were enough to demonstrate its colossal size.

Green King was pale as paper, never having imagined that the "Kun" would follow them here. The Azure Flood Dragon King, standing beside him, was equally pale, stunned by the sight of this terrifying exotic beast.

With a roar, the Kun unleashed a wave of sound that stirred up towering waves.

"Freeze!" Lin Fei commanded, effortlessly freezing the gigantic waves into ice crystals that fell from the sky. The first clash ended in a draw, with neither side gaining the upper hand. Lin Fei sensed that while the Kun was indeed powerful and oppressive, it did not evoke a suffocating sense of threat.

"Is it not the Kun? Or perhaps, it is, but not yet a god-level entity?" Lin Fei thought, recalling the Phoenix in the small world. That Phoenix was a legendary being but not yet a deity, as it had not fully matured. Could this be the case with the Kun before him?

Unsure, Lin Fei decided to test the waters. Protected by his nine bloodlines and possessing a Dao Artifact, he felt secure even against a god-level exotic beast. If outmatched, he could always retreat into the safety of his Dao Artifact, which even a god-level creature couldn't breach.

"Boom!"

The next moment, Lin Fei revealed his True Martial King Form, expanding to a colossal hundred-thousand-meter form. This was the combined power of the Five Elements and Four Symbols bloodlines, merging into a force of the world itself.

In addition, the True Dragon and Phoenix bloodlines added their might, with the phantom images of a giant Phoenix and a massive True Dragon encircling him, making him appear like an ancient deity.

Lin Fei's body surged with the power of the world, enhanced by the Phoenix and True Dragon. With the support of the nine great bloodlines, he felt as if he possessed boundless strength, almost invincible as if there was nothing he couldn't do.

"Fire!"

Facing the massive "Kun," Lin Fei gestured with an open hand. A colossal burst of flames erupted, combining the fires of the Phoenix and the Triple Yin True Fire, along with the Heavenly Fire and many other types. These myriad flames merged and exploded with enough intensity to scorch the heavens and boil the seas. Even the vast ocean could not quell Lin Fei's inferno, which now enveloped the gigantic Kun, attempting to reduce it to ashes.

However, the Kun roared furiously and leaped powerfully, causing the sea and even the void to tremble. Revealing most of its body above the water, the Kun's size was unimaginably vast, far exceeding thousands of miles.

Lin Fei's flames, powerful as they were, were extinguished by a powerful gust from Kun's mouth, like a wild wind tearing through the void. This wind, contrary to fueling the fire, extinguished the flames engulfing the Kun and swept ferociously towards Lin Fei.

Without a glance, Lin Fei punched out. The void trembled under the force of his full-strength blow, a combination of the power of the world and the enhanced strength of the True Dragon and Phoenix bloodlines. This punch represented the pinnacle of Lin Fei's Martial King strength. He felt that even the Heavenly Pillar Mountain could not withstand this blow.

His punch collided fiercely with the Kun's colossal body, causing both Lin Fei and the Kun to reel back. Despite the impact, Lin Fei's Endless Vitality Green Wood Bloodline quickly restored his vitality, healing any shock he had received.

With the burst of his nine great bloodlines, Lin Fei was almost invulnerable, excelling in attack, strength, defense, and recovery, making him one of the most formidable beings below the level of a deity. He had no fear of any non-god-level opponent.

Initially, Lin Fei thought the Kun was at the god-level, but the exchange revealed that it was not. The Kun was indeed mighty, yet it had not reached the realm of a deity. Nevertheless, the Kun was formidable, far surpassing any exotic beast Lin Fei had ever encountered.

"Again!" Lin Fei, invigorated, stepped forward, his hundred-thousand-meter form striding into the sea for another confrontation.

"Boom!"

The sea trembled as Lin Fei reached out with a massive hand, grasping the colossal Kun.

"Lift!" he commanded, channeling his strength. In close combat, a Martial King's most formidable weapon is still the physical body itself, beyond any bloodline or Divine Ability.

Thus, close-quarters combat brings out the advantages of a Martial King, though such opportunities are rare once one achieves this level. But now, Lin Fei had found his chance to battle this fearsome exotic beast.

Lin Fei's hundred-thousand-meter True Martial King Form, combined with the power of the dragon and phoenix, seized the massive Kun. With a mighty heave, he lifted the creature.

Simultaneously, a chilling aura from Lin Fei's hand began to seep into the Kun, freezing its body into ice crystals. This was the power of the Annihilation Frost Bloodline, not just freezing but also embodying the force of annihilation. It momentarily immobilized Kun's power, rendering it helpless and allowing Lin Fei to hoist it up.

"Boom!"

The frozen Kun, its massive body now immobilized, was slammed down by Lin Fei into the sea, shattering the ice and reducing the Kun to fragments that fell into the ocean.

"Is it dead?" Lin Fei watched the sea surface intently. The Kun, a being not so easily vanquished, still showed signs of life. As long as its life force persisted, it wouldn't die. But how could it recover from being reduced to shards?

448. The Suppressed Giant Kun, Merely an Avatar?

"Hum." Soon, a whirlpool formed on the sea surface, followed by a trembling of the entire ocean. Then, towering waves rolled in, forming a thousand-mile-long giant Kun in the void. The Kun was indeed not dead. The shattered ice reformed, once again constituting the giant Kun.

"What a formidable giant Kun!" Lin Fei inwardly applauded.

However, he wasn't surprised. Such a powerful exotic beast, the mythical Kun from legends wouldn't fall so easily. It was impossible!

Even with his great strength, Lin Fei didn't believe he could effortlessly slay such a beast, especially one surpassing even god-level entities in myths.

"What exactly are you?" Lin Fei pondered. "Like the Kun but not quite the Kun. Yet, you're definitely not a god-level exotic beast!"

Lin Fei's voice echoed through the void like thunder.

"Has the human Martial King become so powerful now?" the Kun mused. "Or has the world changed too much during my slumber? Human, you are impressive. You are the first to confront my incomplete avatar with the body of a Martial King."

"Incomplete avatar?" Lin Fei was taken aback. The Kun, spanning a thousand miles, was just an avatar?

"Can't human Deity Transformations cultivator create billions of avatars? How could we exotic beasts not do the same? This avatar is merely cultivated from a drop of my essence blood, and it's become incomplete due to prolonged dormancy. Yet, ordinarily, it's unbeatable by anyone less than a god-level being. But you managed it."

Lin Fei fell silent. This was indeed the mythical Kun, but only an incomplete avatar cultivated from a drop of its blood. What would the true form of the Kun be like, if this was just a drop of its blood?

"Why did you pursue me to my island upon awakening?" Lin Fei inquired.

"You humans are cunning," the Kun replied. "You let your exotic beast devour the bloodline of my kin to condense the essence blood of the true dragon for your cultivation. And now you ask me why I pursued you?"

Lin Fei remained silent, realizing that Kun knew everything. There was no turning back now. "So, a battle it must be!" he declared, his gaze sharp and fearless.

The Kun smiled faintly, "You seem eager to fight and fearless. Is that because you have something to rely on?"

The Kun scrutinized Lin Fei, unable to discern his true strength with its avatar.

"So, do you wish to fight or make peace?" Lin Fei asked.

The Kun shook its head, "I awoke thinking to easily handle a mere king-level exotic beast, retribution for my kin. But I didn't expect to encounter someone like you. My drop of essence blood in this avatar can't kill you. Nor can you kill it. If I wish, I can absorb the essence blood of all the exotic beasts in this sea to temporarily repair this avatar. Then, even you might be in danger. But if I do that, this avatar will be destroyed. I don't want a pyrrhic victory."

Lin Fei just stared at the Kun, saying nothing. He believed it could absorb the essence blood of nearby exotic beasts to repair its avatar. He had his own countermeasures – the Saber World, isolating the inside from the outside, where the world's power could encase the Saber World, making the Kun's incomplete avatar unable to break free.

Lin Fei could potentially exhaust it to death. However, he didn't want to resort to this unless absolutely necessary. If Kun's essence blood avatar escaped, it would be a significant problem. Moreover, the Kun kept mentioning its avatar without revealing the location of its true body. What if the true form of the Kun could descend?

"So, Senior Kun, what do you propose?" Lin Fei inquired further. Given that the Kun did not initiate a battle, it likely had a request or needed Lin Fei for some purpose.

"It's simple. I need your help with one thing," Kun responded. "At the bottom of the sea, my true form has left some treasures of the Kun clan, sealed within a formation. Over time, the formation has weakened, and my incomplete essence blood avatar alone can't open it. But with your help, we can surely break through the formation."

"At that time, not only will all grievances between us be resolved. Even more, I can bestow upon you a tremendous stroke of fortune! For example, aiding you in your enlightenment! With your current state, you must be on the verge of breaking through to the Martial God realm, right? For you Martial Kings, achieving enlightenment is no easy task. But there are certain treasures that can assist you in your enlightenment. I remember I seemed to have left behind some treasures of this kind."

Kun finished speaking and fell silent. It quietly awaited a response.

It must be said that such conditions were astonishing. Even more so, they were very enticing. Treasures that could aid in enlightenment. Who wouldn't be tempted?

Lin Fei had just reached the peak of the Martial King realm. He was currently pondering how to achieve enlightenment. Unexpectedly, this giant kun had brought forth such a boon. However, was it truly as it seemed?

"Assist me in ascending..." Lin Fei scoffed. "Perhaps such treasures exist, but I doubt you would leave them so readily accessible. And as for helping you break the formation, I must decline."

Lin Fei's outright refusal, without a hint of hesitation, indicated his lack of interest. Helping the Kun could be fraught with dangers – unleashing its true form, empowering it to god-level, or other unforeseen consequences. Even the potential for valuable treasures could not outweigh these risks. Lin Fei believed in achieving Dao through personal cultivation, independent of external aids.

The Kun's expression froze, then darkened menacingly. "Very well, human cultivator," it said with a sneer. "I offered you a chance, a mere Martial King, to assist me. But since you failed to seize it, prepare to die. Your nine bloodlines will help me complete my essence blood and break the formation!"

With that, the Kun's aura surged violently, as if it had been holding back for a long time, and now unleashed its full power.

449. The Arrival of Saber World, Vanquishing the Giant Kun! The Kun's Dying Curse!

"Swallow!" The Kun began to devour voraciously. The surrounding seawater swirled, and members of the Kun clan were swept up, flying towards the Kun's mouth.

"No, Ancestor, it's us!" they cried. "Ancestor, please don't swallow us!" But their pleas were in vain; the Kun seemed to have intentionally lured them for this very moment.

Countless members of the Kun clan were swallowed, and the Kun's aura grew increasingly terrifying as if about to break through a critical threshold. Lin Fei realized the Kun was attempting to restore itself, and if successful, it could potentially reach god-level – an outcome Lin Fei did not wish to see.

"You won't swallow and restore so recklessly in front of me!" Lin Fei declared. "Saber World!"

With that thought, Lin Fei summoned the Saber World. It descended with a boom, isolating everything within from the outside. This was no ordinary Saber World, but one infused with Lin Fei's power of the world, possessing the characteristics of a 'small world' – similar to the one that trapped the Phoenix.

Lin Fei had begun to understand the essence of a small world. Unlike a secret realm, which couldn't be considered a full-fledged world, a small world genuinely merited this title. It was this understanding that allowed him to evolve his Saber World, pushing it towards becoming a small world and effectively isolating everything within.

In an instant, Lin Fei transported all beings within the Saber World out, even removing the seawater. Kun was left completely isolated, unable to devour any more members of its clan or other exotic beasts.

"What's happening? Is this a small world?" Kun wondered. It sensed that Lin Fei's Saber World was part secret realm, part small world, capable of isolating everything within.

The interruption of its devouring process infuriated the Kun. This disruption was costly, and if prolonged, it might not be able to compensate for its incomplete essence blood.

The Kun, trapped and enraged by the interruption of its restoration, faced a significant setback, potentially unable to repair its essence blood without further consumption.

"Break this mere realm!" The Kun charged toward Lin Fei's Saber World with terrifying force. Despite the Kun's immense power, its collision merely caused a slight tremor in the Saber World.

The world's power within the Saber World quickly repaired any damage, restoring its integrity. The Kun was astonished and disbelieving that it couldn't break through the Saber World.

"Saber of the Heavens, Strike!" Within the Saber World, countless saber lights converged and furiously descended upon the Kun. The Kun, despite its formidable defense, was overwhelmed by the relentless assault of saber lights. Inside the isolated Saber World, Kun's power could not be replenished, while Lin Fei's Saber World seemed to have an endless supply of energy.

In a matter of moments, Kun's aura noticeably weakened and continued to do so rapidly. Cursing Lin Fei, Kun vowed revenge when its true form returned from the Divine Realm. However, its threats were futile. Soon, Kun's massive body deflated, shrinking and eventually being sliced by the saber lights into a single drop of dark red essence blood, full of immense energy.

Lin Fei was momentarily tempted by the power of this essence blood but quickly restrained his greed. Considering the potential dangers and unknowns associated with Kun's essence blood, he decided not to assimilate it and instead chose to eliminate any future threats.

"Refine!" In Lin Fei's Saber World, flames roared fiercely, combining the Triple Yin True Fire, the Phoenix Fire, and other flames to incinerate the essence blood. As the flames burned, the essence blood rapidly turned to ash. Suddenly, a tremendous roar emitted from the essence blood as it began to morph into the form of the Kun, but only managed to form a gigantic head before being consumed by the flames.

"You actually resisted the temptation and refrained from assimilating my essence blood," the Kun's head remarked as it continued to transform amidst the blazing flames, eventually turning to ashes.

Lin Fei, witnessing the disintegration of the essence blood, felt a mix of relief and contemplation. He had wisely controlled his greed, avoiding the trap the Kun had set within its essence blood. Had he succumbed to temptation, the Kun might have seized the opportunity to control him, potentially leading to his undoing.

With the essence blood now reduced to ashes, Lin Fei felt a sense of security. The immediate threat of the Kun was gone. However, Kun's mention of the "Divine Realm" before its demise piqued Lin Fei's curiosity.

"Returning from the Divine Realm? So, the Kun's true form resides there?" he wondered. "What exactly is this Divine Realm, and why hasn't Dubhe mentioned it?"

Lin Fei reached out to Dubhe with these questions. Dubhe explained that the Divine Realm was a world created by beings above the god-level, which could be understood as a kind of small world. This realm differed from ordinary worlds and was conducive to the cultivation of life forms above the god-level. However, Dubhe didn't have specific details, as it had never been taken there by its master.

This revelation led Lin Fei to realize the vastness of the ancient world and why beings at the level of Martial Gods or Deity Transformation were rarely seen. They likely resided in the Divine Realm.

Though the threat of the Kun lingered, Lin Fei knew its return from the Divine Realm wouldn't be easy. If the Kun did return, perhaps by then, Lin Fei would have achieved the status of Martial God. The balance of power at that point would be uncertain.
