Okay I misread I GET IT, that’s actually way cooler than what I was originally thinking - is the Sun God or anyone else aware of this cult’s existence? Or is any more info on them spoiler territory?

I'd say they're the group that are directly harnessing Sol's or Any of the Sun God's power. This results Sol being weakened at an important time. You can see their way of harnessing Sol's power in the form of cuffs that are on Sol's body. Sol and Adora isn't aware of this
