As the day of the living sets, the night of death rises revealing this forgotten, forsaken and abominable land. An ancient amphitheater sits at its heart, an altar glazed in dried gore grovels at its center. Paces before the ruined amphitheater, a stone arch yawns casting its wan light upon the troubled stones. Far from the portal's reach, repelled by its rays, a wicked roiling black liquid flows. If this land knew water it would know this is not it. While the wind seems still, the forsaken trees still sway. From every source of light the shadows strain as if to engulf it forever. Only the stones remember what happened here and if any could leave, they’d never forget.

A sweet long-time supporter of mine has reached out to me and offered that I can share some great quality miniatures with you from their current Kickstarter campaign, two monsters and a dark altar, and a ruined arch. He even came up with a great map idea that made me happy because I found it very inspirational.

The encounter location is an eldritch, decrepit amphitheater with a portal nearby that leads the characters here. An ominous black liquid is seeping through in the east - hardly a natural phenomenon.

Grinning God’s campaign, Beasts of the Dissonance 5e is already funded, and the product - a dark fantasy bestiary - is already fleshed out. I recommend checking it out and backing it if you like it.

You can also expect to get the stats of these two monsters this summer.

Staying true to this evil location, I also made another rather generic encounter scene with some rocky covers and a variation that offers deep holes as further obstacles.

Who or what could possibly have dug these pitch-black holes? What awaits player characters who are faced with the challenge of passing through these boulders?

The haunted forest path map from 2020 quite well fitting in mood:

This is not sponsored content as Dynamic Dungeons has nothing to do with the campaign, but since it looks to be premium stuff and we also got minis plus an awesome map idea - the shoutout is real, big up to them, and wish them great success.

Grinning God’s KS campaign: Beasts of the Dissonance 5e

You are in no need to launch your own Kickstarter campaign in order to have your map idea become a Dynamic Dungeons reality, though. Anyone can contact me with an idea in mind and I will construct the map if I find it engaging and exciting for the community, too. So I encourage you to text me with your map concepts and other wishes - yours could very well be next.

Thank you for your continued support!
