UPDATE 01.09.2020 - Free addition: The stationary versions of the upper and poop deck's quarters and exterior view

As I mentioned in the original post, I've been working on stationary versions, where the ship is still cruising but its body isn't moving. The interiors and the poop deck exterior is ready and the files are already in the folder. I like it and decided to continue this way when making the lower decks. The main and foredecks are also coming in stationary version soon, all as free additions to CG Patrons. The files of the Sea Queen have been moved to a new folder and updated, find the stationary versions here, the master folder of the ship here:  THE SEA QUEEN

This set contains the cannon-armed day versions and cannon free day and night versions of the Sea Queen. You can also find the ship as a prop in various sizes with and without grids, and some props, like cannons, a ballista, and a catapult, all in day and night versions.

Also, two different plain open sea scenes are included, and I'm already working on the lower levels.

It'll be very easy to adjust, control, and even color the backgrounds and the props with the upcoming version of the DD software, where you'll be able to customize the scenes in real-time directly from the Editor.

Get the complete pack from here.

Thank you for your generous, continued support!

Will we be able to control weather in the new Editor? For instance, add a storm to the Sea Queen?

Any suggestions for how to overcome the split-second pause of an animated scene during a repeat?

dynamicdungeons

Are you playing the videos with a mediaplayer? Editor has two player engines running simultaneously. One starts playing, the other is waiting to play exactly when the first video ends and so on.

dynamicdungeons

The weather system will be another step afterward, it’s coming but not in the next release yet. I’ll make storm tossed versions for the Sea Queen.

Thank you so much for this!!

Did you release the Sea Queen night versions with cannons and I missed it? CG level supporter.

So, I just want to say you have out done yourself this time. Personally I loved the giant sea queen but I dont find it too useful just because players would always want to run forward and back of the ship... But now I have moving water, a sea queen I can adjust the size AND drop props onto!? YESSSSS!!!!! SOOOO **DYNAMIC** and THAT is what you should stick to!! giving us DYNAMIC dungeons!!! There is soooooo much utility with this release its endless!! I cant thank you enough!!!!

Bug? No matter what I do, the dungeon editor (v3.3) wont draw the grid on top of the ship PNG

Fantastic release for my new high seas group! Can we please have the animated asset for the ship’s wake? Would be great to include this on some of your other ocean maps with the sea queen and other ships.

The grid layer is under the props layer in Editor, that’s why I added two gridded ship props. Btw, an upper grid layer will be implemented in a later version.

Joined at the $5 level but can't download any of the Sea Queen :(

Any chance you plan to do an interior? I need a ghost ship and the night scene is doing great things.

Just to be on the same page... Posts 89 & 91 are the same now right? by downloading the complete pack from one it's the same as the other?

dynamicdungeons

Yes, both bring you to the same folder. Also the new one, the interiors are shared in the same main directory.

Two questions. First, are maps at levels lower than CG rendered at a lower resolution? And, if so, how do you get them without having to purchase both the CG level and the lower level simultaneously?

Brent Greenhalgh

Sorry, but another question came to mind. Is there a version of the Sea Queen with cannons at night?

Fantasttic! Love It! I'm going to start Ghosts of Saltmarsh and with this it's going to be so much better. The other version had the problem of being to big and no interiors! This is so good! Thank you!

dynamicdungeons

No, I continue making the cannon free versions, but the upcoming version of the Editor will be able to change its colors to look like a nighttime scene.

Love it. Would like to see a more rotten version (think Silent Mary from Pirates of the Caribbean) which could be a derelict floating at sea or out actively raiding. I imagine rotten sails & ropes, holes in decking, starfish & sea weed on railing. The drowned undead onboard would be amazing.

I agree with Keith – a "rotten" version would be incredible. But also, the stationary-yet-animated versions are outstanding, and fixed the issue of the grid shifting up to 2". Thanks so much!

Will there be a lower deck and a cargo hold addition to this? I'm digging this map so much I convinced my group to start a sea-faring campaign. Thanks!

Was also going to ask this my party are about to do a lot of sea travel and I want them to be able to see the living quarters if possible

I love this map, and the day/night/interior variants add a lot of value for me. One question I do have though: would it be possible to get a few single-piece versions? One of my groups plays primarily over Roll20 and frequently has conflicts on the deck of our ship that can range from the bow to the stern and from port to starboard. We don't care overly about aspect ratio, but stitching the maps together as tiles doesn't really work because of the water and because of the fact that the sections don't perfectly line up. Edit: To clarify, I like the resolution these are at and the scale of the grids. It would just be nice to have it rendered all as one continuous image with a larger file size (since for Roll20 we use static images and when I'm using Foundry I don't really have to worry about file size).

Hi there! Absolutely love how much this map adds to the experience, it's beautiful! I had a question about the ambient sounds that it comes with. Is it just me, or does the audio not loop smoothly? Did I happen to miss something? The video loops beautifully, but for me the audio has a pretty rigid hiccup.

I'd love to see a version of the Sea Queen that has the whole ship instead of the 3 sections. By the way, I love the webm versions of maps. Keep them coming!

Anonymous

I would love to see this. It's rarely practical to have 3 different maps of the ship as the party can easily spread out across the ship.

dynamicdungeons

This ship would not fit to one screen, but you can use its png prop version instead on the ocean or we have two other ships designed to one screen.

I cant seem to find the sea queen Middle Interior. am I missing something? Ive down loaded all SQ files and thats the only section missing

Anonymous

Superb map! Thank you

This is a great map set! Are you still planning to make the rest of the exterior parts as stationary versions?

Anonymous

Awesome map, but I'm also hoping for a lower deck and a cargo hold...

Hello ! I'm not sure I can find all the parts of ship not gridded, while moving. Can i find them somewhere ? Thank you !
