You'll find 6 blasted battlefields, a hellish wind particle effect, more than 10 props like the debris of wrecked war machines and rust-colored stones, plus three animated scenes: a rocky encounter map, another one with meteors, and a chase scene.

I hope these maps will help you immerse your players in the mood when they get to the first layer of the Nine Hells. I'm ready to expand this set later on, so don't hesitate to share your suggestions.

A new post is coming up next week in which I'll try to show various ways of playing animated maps online due to social distancing. In addition, I am going to make previous animations available in gifs, too.

The infernal war machine in the demo video is 3d printed, the model is courtesy of Fungeons and Fandoms.

You have to remove the .zip extension of the file hellish_sandstorm.particle.ZIP and then it should works :-)

Hey DD, this is awesome work. But I have 2 requests if possible? 1 - The red in these maps must be a filter? I bet you could pretty easy make these maps in a more normal wasteland version. We dont play Avernus, so a wasteland or desert version would be awesome. 2 - Also wit the chace map - a wasteland version, slower speed, and no sound - would be greatly appreciated. Maybe as an idea for at bonus at some time =)

Good idea, Jesper! I’ll make alternate versions and share it, it’s really not a big deal. However, 3.2.4 of Editor will be able to filter the scenes.

I love this. If I were to wish for something I would love to have some infernal machines (like the ships you have for water based scenarios) that you could place as props on the chase scene. The larger ones where you could move around would be especially interesting.

Did you change something by chance? For the past two map packs, I haven't been able to add these to my Google Drive. Previously it was just an easy click to add to my drive then organize to get them into the folder I wanted. Now, there's no option for that. Did something change? Thanks for your time making all of these, they are fantastic. I have two pending emails for you- one for the potential adventure synergy and the other is Fantasy Grounds map conversions. I went to extract the hellish_sandstorm.particle into my props folder, but it is asking for a password?

Is there any way to slow down the chase scene? Mine is moving at mach 3 and is not really usable, but the concept is very cool.

Not sure if this is the place for this feature request, but as the map library has grown, I've started to reorganize it quite a bit. Would it be possible for you to modify the Dynamic Dungeons editor to show the resources sorted the same way they are when viewed in the OS? So, alphabetical with folders on top? That would make finding things a lot easier!

I agree - be careful with these chase maps - they are cool, but I have some players who get motion sick while looking at them, with minis on the screen. I would love some for desert, snow, forest and city, but at a slower pace, so people can follow the screen. =)

Yes I’m working on a fix, also a search bar will be implemented there and the UI virtualization will solve gpu memory overflow problems when having too much assets in the backgrounds or props folders.

You don't unzip it. Rename the file just "hellish_sandstorm.particle". You may need to turn off "Hide extensions for known types." in windows explorer.

I appreciate this is some months old, but I really hope you’re able to do more hellish environments- even red-toned variants of ruin-type environment could be brilliant

I'll release a ruins pack with various scenes and props soon, and the new editor will have the feature of changing the hue of the background videos and the props, so you'll be able to change any map to hellish red.

superb battelmaps, even if chase is too speed . but I only find 3 animated maps, not 6 . is it normal ?
