This release fixes some bugs caused crash or minor problems on some machines. 

Download your copy of 1.1.1. from the same url where you got the previous version. If you've lost the url, contact me on dynamicdungeons@gmail.com and I'll send you the download link. 

If you don't have the app yet, BUY IT NOW.  

Don't forget that 1.x versions will work properly in HD resolution, you may find bugs in 4k. Set both of your display's resolution to 1920x1080.  (v.2.0. will be fully compatible with the 4k content) 

Stay tuned for 2.0. which is coming soon for free with several new features like the possibility of using tokens, animated props and particle effects.

Troubleshooting:

1. Problem:
Error message saying "This application requires a version of adobe AIR which cannot be found.."
or
Editor shows black screen on Windows.

Solution: VISUAL C++Redistributable pack" must installed under Windows systems. On some systems this pack should be installed manually. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48145
After installing the x86version, restart your system and the app. 

Other possible solution: Are you sure you decompressed the zipped file? It sometimes happen when you just enter to the zipped file and trying to launch and decompress only the executable file directly from the archive file, not all of the files. If the folder contains all of the files decompressed, it should work without any kind of installation of Adobe Air.

2. "Player Manager is waiting for Player..."

One of your displays is probably set to higher resolution then HD. Make sure, that you're using this version in 1920x1080.  (v.2.0. will be fully compatible with the 4k content)

3. Laggy/choppy playback on secondary display

If the video is fluid in your primary display and the problem only occurs on the extended secondary display, set your secondary display's refresh rate higher. 

4.  "Context 3d not available error"

Possibly your graphic card is not compatible with the application. If you have two graphic cards built in to your computer (integrated and dedicated) check if both card's drivers are up to date. Is your integrated graphic card enabled? 

4. Still image was cut and only part of the picture is visible

It's not a malfunction, the software will proportionally scale the image and show a 16:9 part of it. There are a lot of free on-line tool out there to crop a 16:9 part of your image, fe. https://croppola.com/

  • grid masking (find this feature under the grid menu at the bottom of the screen while you are in the scene preview/properties window)

  • Scrolling in the story matrix with Mouse-wheel / Shift + Mouse-wheel 
  • SHIFT + F reveals the entire scene from FOW in Player

Any chance the save/load folder directory can be configurable? That way we can control where things get saved and loaded to if we have files on separate drives?

The only thing I can find in my email history for the Dynamic Dungeon editor is a paypal receipt showing I paid for it. There was no link on that email. If I remember right, I may have been forwarded to a download page after I bought it. I also never got an email with a link to the latest version. ok. the way you explained it is kinda convoluted. I want to know what I'm paying for. if i become a 5$ member does that mean that I HAVE to pay 5$ for each map released or can i do this al a carte style and pay for the maps that i can use?

I posted in the general community section but this question is more fitting here. I was making a Desert test scene and noticed when the videos hit their end length the screen just goes black unless I advance the scene. Am I missing something that they aren't repeating?

Hi, would it be possible (as an option) to have the editor and player set out the scenes/tiles etc in portrait mode rather than landscape as that would match my tv's orientation on the table. At present the tv view has to be flipped into landscape mode which makes using a mouse to navigate on it difficult to say the least. Also, it would be great if the Manager worked on two layers: firstly an overview of the whole dungeon, then click to open up a specific tile for removing FOW etc., pretty much like the editor works if that makes sense? Having a problem with the new version. Package files made in the old version will not load at all. Made a new package using the editor and the player will load only a very low resolution, zoomed in, still image and the video does not play. Any idea what is wrong here?

Sorry to ask but just to clarify, if we buy the Editor (latest release) do we get map packs with it? Or do we add packs via the tiered rewards? In such that we add more modular pieces by becoming a patron? Thanks!

I can't seem to get the Player Manager to work. I haven't needed it yet but would like to figure this out sooner rather than later. Has anyone had problems with a frozen image on the player manager?

hi, i bought the WIN DD EditorandPlayer 1.1.1 and when i launch the DD Player Manager, there is the message: waiting for Player... But I'm using this version in 1920x1080 resolution on my two displays. Can you help me? Thanks

Are you sure that both of your display was set to 1920x1080? And do you launch the manager first and then the player?

Just found this and I absolutely love what you are doing! One question, will you support full screen on the Mac so the top title bar will be hidden? I can hide the MacOS menu bar per your instructions, but still see the "DynamicDungeonsPlayer" title bar. Keep up the great work, I'm happy to support this amazing content!

Hi has anyone had any issues with the editor? ive set it up and run it and it works fine, but as soon as i unzip or put any files in the resources folder it crashes with the black screen problem and wont work after that?

Try to avoid special characters in the file names and “jpeg” extension. Use jpg instead. This problem usually occurs when the software can not generate thumbnails, because of an unsupported file format or a character in the filename. Can you please send me a screenshot on the content of your userfolder/DynamicDungeons/resources folder. dynamicdungeons@gmail.com

i got the free tutorial but cannot seem to find a way to load files into it. all of the files that i purchased and downloaded seem to not show up on the list

Find your userfolder (default is user/DynamicDungeons/editor/resources) and make subfolders there and copy content there. On restarting the app the videos should be there on the left in folders. Or you can drag and drop any video from outside or load one by clicking on a place in the story matrix. If you are on Windows make sure you set the browsing filter to videos if you want to see the video files listed)

I just downloaded the program and the LOG directory is not in the sub directory. Also I have dragged and dropped the videos into the resources folder but they are still not showing up in the editor.
