Noble Experiments: a 5e adventure for 5 characters of level 1 (Cg tier level) (Patreon)

This adventure called Noble Experiments will offer you a whole new sewers-y dungeon experience. Glass gators, acid ants, cult fanatics, and other gruesome weirdos are all on the lookout for intruders in a swirling mist of deadly gases. Discover what experiments are underway tucked away in lab rooms deep inside the catacombs of foul waters under the city. Although it’s not a mega campaign, our latest map can offer a quick and fun urban mystery to solve for characters ready to descend into the muck and who are not afraid to get their hands dirty.

A factory in town has been leaking chemicals into the sewers below, and after hiring a master alchemist to investigate the leak, rumors of illegal experiments performed on the poor began to circulate in the dark alleyways haunted by the downtrodden. Then, a noble went missing, and as always, when the elite is afraid, actions are taken. The party is hired to investigate the leak: They should take a sample at the pollution’s source for further analysis and gather any clues about missing persons.

The sewer is heavy with the scent of chemicals, decay, and rotting fish. The rafts are not anchored. If the NPCs hear the party, they may attempt to remove the rafts to trap the party on one side. Alternatively, the party can use them to navigate the caustic water.

This laboratory seems oddly out of place. Two masked nobles in hooded cloaks with an acolyte servant are here to check on the project’s progress, while apprentice alchemist Igrys shows them the results of the last experiment and explains complications.
