News + ETA (Patreon)

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well and your vacation is going nicely!

After a little break the last few days, I got back to work on the next version of Tyrant Quest, I think I should be able to finish putting it all together in about 15 days. I will also take this opportunity to do a big promotion wherever I can, and if it goes well I will try to release an Android version. I haven't tried it yet but decided to buy an Android phone to see what I can do. My goal is to try to make the game known to as many people as possible, I think we suffer from a little lack of publicity, that's something I would like to improve.

The new version is expected to be released around August 19-21.

I also wanted to talk a bit about the problem of leaks that we had on the latest versions, and ask kindly the person(s) responsible to take into account the damage that this causes us. I don't want to play the sad violin and I know that some Patreons are not really affected by this, but still, I can assure you that here the damage is quite substantial. It's now been about two months that we are struggling to pass the symbolic bar of $1000. In the months preceding the arrival of the first leaks we were progressing at a decent pace, but exactly since the leaks arrived we have started to progress suddenly really hard, almost stagnating now. The correlation is direct, that's why I implore the ones who decide to share content publicly to spare us a little, unfortunately, we are not big enough for it to be of no consequence at the moment.

With that said, I don't want to paint a dying picture, all is well and really we have strong feet thanks to you. Thanks to all those who allow us to continue to this day, thank you all for being more and more numerous to support us and to all those who continue to be present even when they do not necessarily have the time to play our games actively, it's really cool of you to still be around despite all the hard knocks and what's going on in the world right now. A big warm thank you for that. ;^)

The next game is progressing well, although things have slowed down a bit with the summer, we have caught up with the art and a good part of the first version is already written by now, it is just waiting to be implemented. This is however what takes the most energy and with TQ still requiring so much attention I am not quite ready to tackle this just yet, however, as soon as possible I promise I will record a video to show a bit what it really looks like.

I'll be back to work on the update now, but before that, I want to post some sketch images of what to expect in terms of scenes/sprites in the next TQ update, hope that makes your mouth water!  (/!\ If you want to avoid any spoilers, please avoid checking it ><)
