You can tell I didn't have much of a plan at the beginning. I mostly wanted to do something very indulgent this time so the princess in a fancy new dress was an easy choice. It's nice to kind of zone out when drawing intricate hair and fabrics... (I really dislike drawing the guards' outfits though, maybe a redesign could help with that)

I also wanted to develop the style a little. Lately I've been a big fan of eastern artists who use these very thin lines to render their pieces and tried to emulate that. The crisp lines combined with a softer coloring reminds me of vintage fairytale illustrations which I think suits this premise especially well. This style requires a bit more effort than usual but I like the results a lot. Looking forward to trying it more!

It's nice to be able to zone out while you're doing your art, it ends up being very stress relieving. I do some photo retouching and you kinda just get into the zone at some point. Happy New Year, great work and I can't wait to see what you create next.
