for context, I wonder a lot about Akaashi struggling with self love with the way he always downplays his own skills and achievements and attributes success to everyone else. His relationship with bokuto to me would also involve him learning to love himself as much as bokuto does, and this self love being a trait he wants his children to inherit from their dad!
