storyboarding puts you in this little meditation mode and i was just thinking about what a monster the panels in this chapter would be to line. before patreon, i got angry a lot wondering what i was staying up drawing comics for when sometimes it didn’t feel like these works would be remembered in time, just a passing post on social media to be scrolled past (for that reason, i wanted to close my account many, many times)

now, i feel a lot more at peace and a lot less silly for taking on big projects for the sake of a good story, because this channel is the best proof there could be to a creator that there are people who think that you’re doing great and want to support you to do more! you being here makes me want to put my best into every update, to work hard in trying to achieve that emotional impact within 4 pages each time (a challenge that’s low key exhilarating each time)

i don’t obsess over numbers on socials as much anymore, and am in a lot more peace just focusing on creating from the heart now because of this community.
