The Second Protagonist (Patreon)

My writers and I have been going over a possible story narrative for a small RPG next year or the one after.

We want to give people the choice of picking between two protagonists, male or female, in which the story can change slightly based on who you pick.  We already got our first protagonist in the rebirth of Grok, but we seem a bit torn on the female protagonist choice and so I wanted to see what you guys think.

Jesana

Born in Dawnbreak, and once a member of the Archons, an elite force of warriors that protected the Empire, she found herself tested when a recall was initiated that would pull her north and away from her home.  Rather then answer the call, she left her position and remained, joining with the Hunter's Guild and becoming a hunter of demonic and shadow entities that infiltrate the city.

Lakuu

A mysterious merchant with a dark past, Lakuu is actually a tainted one (demon) from the city of Syn.  Though constantly gripping with her hunger, she long ago regained her heart and soul, and has been trying to atone for her past sins.  She is a dark paladin with incredible prowess in battle, putting her on par with the strongest of Archons, but she hopes to leave that life behind her.

If you got the chance to choose one of these two to play as the main protagonist of a story, who would you pick? I will consider the poll in the future when I decide.  Also be aware, whatever character isn't picked to be a main protagonist will still be in the game as a ally NPC.
