Blender learning has been going well, but I find the program leaves a little to be desired in the pipeline.  I am likely going to wait till the official release of 2.8 before going back into it whole hog again.

Until then I am using what I learned in Blender, but using it back in C4D using a great plugin called Cycles4D.  It basically puts the cycles render engine into C4D, and so I have been giving it a try now that I understand the material node system a bit better.

The biggest issue I am running into is that some of the settings between Blender and Cycles4D don't really mesh super well, and it's been taking a bit longer to do a few conversions this week.  The models also have a lot of weird bugs that are rooted in the blender model, so it's not an issue of conversion, though a few of it is, like the oddity here with the hair and subdivision switch.

Due to this I likely won't get a new animation out this week.  This process of fixing stuff has taken a good chunk of my time, and the other chunk was trying to work with my writers on my new setting and work towards finalizing some of the races and locations.  I feel like I am working myself a bit raw, so bare with me.

Will see what I can do about making up for it next week.
