Upcoming updates regarding the Patreon~ (Patreon)

Hello hello and howdy~ I've got a few updates about the Patreon I wanted to let you all in on! It's really just a couple things, so I'll just get right to it!

Firstly, I'm going on vacation next month~ My girlfriend and I will be traveling to Florida for a week, and part of that will be spent at the Megaplex convention in Orlando -- if, for some reason, you happen to also be there, it'd def be cool to say hi or something! This is awesome news for me, but unfortunately, this does mean that August will only have one story upload, rather than the usual two. However, all other aspects of the Patreon will continue as normal, including commission-tier patrons getting their usual 2k words! Thank you all for your patience~

Secondly, I'm planning to update the commission-tiers in the near future, including both a price increase and a words-per-month decrease -- effectively, a compromise from what would have just been a larger price increase. I had been considering a price increase on my commissions for a few months, but as I'm rolling through the fourth year of dedicated writing, I believe I need to make a change as well to how much I can commit to each of these projects. I want to be able to work on more projects, but there's plainly no way to fit that in without giving up some of the time I've been setting aside to the monthly commissions. The schedule is just too full and uncomfortable.

What will the changes be? And when? Well, hah, I'm still figuring that out. At the earliest, these changes will go through starting November -- and at the latest, they will go through starting January. But I wanted to give folks the heads-up now so they can start making plans~ If you're a commission-tier patron and have an ongoing story in development, then we will want to connect at some point and discuss what to do -- but as a general rule for all these current projects, I will absolutely still honor the current price-per-word that you've signed up for until that story (as outlined) is completed as a non-patreon commission, if you decide to no longer keep your pledge active. If you wish to continue your pledge, then we'll just keep doing what we've been doing~

The change to words will very likely be from 2k words a month, to 1.5k words a month. Pretty straightforward!

For prices, I'm still doing the math. I've always wanted to make sure Cursed-tier patrons were getting a slight discount compared to my regular comm prices, while Spellbound-tier patrons pay above that for the priority bonus. As of recently, my comm prices have been $20 per 1k words. Adjusted for the patron tiers and the new 1.5k word scheduling, this would make the Cursed-tier $25, and the Spellbound-tier $35. These are not the final prices -- just an estimate of what I'm currently thinking. I will definitely let you guys know well-ahead of time what the final changes will be, but I hope these numbers provide some insight of what to expect.
