This commission really came in at a good time because micro-level material was something I had developed a real hankerin' for. The kind of size where a whole city could easily fit in the pit of a palm~ I already kinda went on about this in the previous upload notes for Part I, but the itch still itches! And it's in this part that I really got to explore some more interesting angles of interactions, rather than just the introduction between the two sizes.

I probably rambled about this already, but Zelda is such a great character for this scenario. Perceptive, analytical, curious, and a generally good soul; it really intensifies that pathetic feeling when someone so good is being heartless and causing mass mayhem! BotW-Zelda has a great attitude to play off of here, it really wouldn't be the same if Zelda was made proportionally as giant, or if there was just a singular micro-sized person adventuring around her. It's critical that she have samples of civilizations and that she have an interest in testing them.

And the tests have begun! The tests are the whole crux of the plot here, with subsequent additions to this series focusing on how those tests play out. Part II only begins one test, but I hope it keens readers in on what else to expect going forward. The "hair test" was one of the first details to come up for this commission, so I've been thinking a lot of these details. I suppose Part III will elaborate more when we get to see how the minish faired~ but just the idea of the test is really exciting to explore. I'm quite fond of hair in size scenarios, so hopefully these details will be really fun to dive into~

The passage of time is a pretty unique element in this story. That was also stressed for this commission: that epic sense of scale, how minor movements become massive and slow. Hah, size writing sometimes tackles this in weird ways... It's a sort-of real phenomenon, right? But it's pretty hard usually to actually make work -- it just begs a lot of questions, makes for weird interactions. Thankfully, the separation of perspectives here really let's the slowness of time be relevant; Zelda does things without really involving herself with the consequences, which lets me take the time to flesh out those consequences from just the minish perspective. There is still some wonkiness though~ like how many days pass for the minish while theyre on an hours-long horse ride. I tried to give a nice, immersion-smoothing answer to some of those quirks, so hopefully that sold that feeling of scale well~

This commission will be continuing in the future, once I get more caught up on other projects~ I'm excited to get there, because these next tests should lead to very fun places! Thanks for reading and supporting~
