Upload Notes: Goddess from the Deep Part I (Patreon)

I've been pretty excited to share this story with you guys, so I'm relieved it's finally here~ I've thought quite a bit about Goddess from the Deep ever since it's been requested. It's a concept that seems fairly straightforward, but I think the twist at the end/next part gives it a very fun edge.

It kinda makes it hard to talk about without spoiling what's ahead, haha. I assume if you're reading these notes, you probably read the full story, but there's still a bit of what's ahead to reveal to you guys. I have to admit, part one is a little slow, but I guarantee it picks up next time! The stage is set for some fun, and I hope you guys have some questions to dwell on while the next part comes together.

As it is, I don't have much to talk about with this part of the story, but I hope the twist at the end captures some attention! It felt like things clicked in my head when I figured out how to play with that "from the Deep" aspect, the idea of this space-person posing as a goddess that comes out from some mysterious forest. In hindsight, I see places where I could have made the ritual more engaging and full of details -- I originally included food, wine, and other offerings as part of the sacrifice that the goddess takes -- but I decided to focus on the characters and their story, deciding to speed through those smaller, less important details.
