Heya everyone~ Before I go into the upload notes, I just want to communicate my apologies for my low-output through February. The winter storm set me back by about a week, but that doesn't excuse this other week of inactivity -- I slipped on my schedule and was slower than my standards. I'll try to make it up to you guys, and as always, I really appreciate the patience from those that wait.

Onto the story...! Beyond the Sea hasn't gotten updated for a few months now, but I've been hard at work on it all this while. This chapter in particular was turning out to be very long -- so long, in fact, that this is only half of it! There's almost a whole other chapter written that was originally going to all be chapter six, but after some review, I realized that such a chapter would be almost an entire quarter of the whole story so far. It could afford to get broken up~ So we have this first half now, focused on recovery, and the second half will focus on repairs. I hope you guys look forward to some fun construction-themed interactions~

This chapter is admittedly a bit slow, since I was expecting it to pick up in eventfulness with its second half. But I think after the climax only one chapter prior, it's fair to have this break and cool off a bit. I like this concept a lot, too, where the giant is injured and normal people have to tend to them, it's a great excuse to have people littered all over a giant. I only wish I had come up with some better interactions for Moana and Sophie here...! The scene is perfect for some bond-building, but I feel like their conversation is mostly plot utility. Fortunately, I know Sophie and Moana get some fun stuff to do in the next chapter~

I sure do like size-related dream sequences in my size stories, don't I? I definitely got flashbacks to Endless writing this scene up... I know dreams are a pretty cheap trope, but I like to add enough intrigue and vagueness to them that it's still uncertain what's happening -- like how a real dream would feel. Is this dream a premonition of things to come? Or is it just a metaphor for Moana's troubles? Or is it both...? Truthfully, I do know! I won't spoil anything though~

Thanks again for your patience everyone. I hope you can enjoy this update to this fun adventure~ I'll try to have something else out later this week to make up for my slowness last month. Take care everyone, and thanks so much for the support~

I read their interaction here as both plot utility and also bond building. Their talk of the stars and their intersecting knowledge plus how Sophie is always a bundle of energy when around her newfound friend was a delightful read when contrasted against the recuperation. The Gulliver-esque multitude moving on and around a big gal is a joy to read especially given the still tenuous alliance they all have.
