Upload Notes: Beyond the Sea Chapter Four (Patreon)

This chapter was very fun to write! The chapter before this was definitely light on the size content, and there's a decent stretch within this chapter that's away from Moana, but chapter four really does a good mix of both giant interactions + standard story progression. At least I think it does~ I think sandwiching the non-size stuff between the size stuff has a better overall effect on the pace.

Very action packed! Just how I like it~ I spent a good while coming up with ways that a normal-sized army of these times would try to wrangle down a giant. Moana isn't too big in this story, only about 100 feet-ish, so it's not too unbelievable to see a town's navy executing traps and strategies fit for a huge opponent. I'd dare say I was rather clever at some points~ The creek in particular makes for a really nice setting for this battle, I hope the imagery was memorable and clear, like you could really see a giant Moana with her foot stuck in a pitfall, or splashing up geysers of water every footstep. The cliffsides also offer some strategical points where Moana could be surrounded, and the weighted nets honestly sound pretty plausible for pinning a giant~ or at least slowing them down, making it harder. Ooh, and the wooden stakes in the water? Nice touch, Cursey. That shit had to hurted.

The non-size stuff is exciting too, isn't it? I hope it is~ I know most folks are here for the Big Lady Time but I do strive to have a pretty thrilling plot. It's not the best story for sure, it's got some issues, but I do think it's quite serviceable. I like Sophie's character and I like her interaction with Durok, how she's so idealistic and trusting of anyone that'll listen to her. Gets led right into a trap as a result! I also had a fun time writing her screaming fit, of course~ Weird quirk for her to have but there's something funny about how Sophie's defense mechanism is just screaming, not that far off from her aunt's loudmouth trait.

Well, I hope you all look forward to the next chapter! Wow, when that gets posted, I'll already be caught up with everything I've written up to. So, updates for Beyond the Sea will most likely start to slow down~ Let me know what you think of the series so far, I'd love to know you guys' thoughts! Also, hah, I had like no idea what to tag this chapter with. There isn't really any of the usual giant content or scenarios, even for a fight sequence. Moana is mostly the one getting beat up this chapter, so there's no crush, no significant destruction... not even a specific foot scene! Crazy stuff.
