Upload Notes: The Harpy Matriarch Part III (Patreon)

Something of a "conclusion" to Atilda's story is finally here~ It was October when I first dove into this story, so it's almost a year old! Time, heh... Time flies! Ahhhahaha.

This part took awhile to come together! In my documents, this has all actually been "part two," including what I had uploaded here as part two. My intention initially was to release it all as one big story to enjoy, but scheduling got in the way of that, since I really didn't want to make you guys wait THAT long to get an update. But you can sort of see from the pacing of things how everything was sort of planned to be read together, at least, I think you can see that... There's no major cutaways or anything other than one flashback, which at least made for a cool place to start.

I really wanted Harmonia to be disliked, of course. I like the divided feeling that comes with that, how Harmonia is certainly getting her just desserts, but it comes at the cost of an entire city of innocent people also getting involved. You want to cheer for Atilda for getting sweet revenge, but you instinctively also root for the little people that never had much say in matters. I've said this elsewhere, but I find class divisions to be a really interesting feature in size stories. There's a lot of fun emotions involved~

This story also comes with an alternate ending~ The patron that helped make this story wanted an additional giga-growth ending, so I made it happen. That's the kind of power I wield over you all. Giga isn't usually a territory I explore too much in writing, so I'm glad to have a small change of pace. It works really well for monster girls, I think, who are already ridiculously powerful... and then you just multiply that by a thousand. So simple, so effective. Atilda makes for a great giga-sized queen~ she's got such a mean, commanding personality. I hope that even though both endings are a lil inconclusive, they might still provide you some ideas to fantasize about, like how the world operates now under a giant harpy, and what she intends to do next.

I might very well revisit this character! I don't see a reason why not, if people are interested in any further giant harpy stories-- whoa whoa, don't form a crowd now, I know there's lots of you that are begging for that but please, one at a time. I like Atilda lots and I also like Reina, so maybe if I get another chance at writing for this world, Reina might get a bit of a better ending~ Poor girl...
