Upload Notes: Beyond the Sea - Chapter One (Patreon)

A year has just about gone by since I began this patreon. Crazy! Really is crazy to me how quickly time can go by. And when I first began, one of my first projects was "the Moana Story," which has since unfolded into an adventure spanning several chapters that I'm now happily allowing myself to share~ I hope you all enjoy this read and where it goes, because it has become a fun story that I enjoy coming back to month after month.

The reason I was hesitant about posting this story was because, at the time, I worried about posting too much about fandoms and the consequences of doing that. One matter was that I had already posted a few fandom stories to get the mill running, so I figured people would be put off if I kept putting out fandom material. The second matter was the content itself, that being Moana, a Disney property... To be frank, I tread carefully when in this territory! There are many blurred lines of what is and isn't allowed, you see, and I've seen more than one creator fall victim to the pressure of corporate entities. I don't want to upset the Big Mouse by writing giant fetish erotica of her~

But hey, I think I'm doing both Moana AND giant fetish erotica proud! What I've really tried to home in on with this story is stressing the "feeling" of a sequel to Moana, so I try to capture that quality of writing and flow to capture that sense of watching a movie. Moana is a mature adult now and so she's changed just a bit from how she was in the movie, but she's still got her usual charm and sense of adventure. Ahead of this chapter are villains and schemes and relationships; I hope you too can "see" the movie I'm trying to express, haha.

Reviewing this chapter was so hard... It's been almost a year since I last looked at it and there was a lot of work that needed to be done. A lot of future-proofing, but also a lot of cringe writing mistakes -- they made me cringe, anyway. But it's interesting to go back in time and read where this adventure began. I've said before that I rarely reread any of my stuff, once it's posted I like to think it stops existing basically, so going back and intensely reading what I had last put, hah, it's quite different! A little smug of me to say, but I've certainly improved as a writer and have a more streamlined process for things, haha.

The first couple of chapters will eventually go public, but the rest of the story will be held private afterwards~ Enjoy the exclusivity! We're currently four chapters in, so I'll be editing and publishing these one month at time until everything I have is posted. It's still being worked on! No specific end currently in sight! So there's a lot of fun to cover and a lot of fun to be had. I hope you all enjoy it enough to stick through it~ Thanks again for all the support, everyone!
