Featured image by Katrin. I love how Katrin uses the decalcomania technique. She really gets interesting textures and does just enough to suggest what she sees without over doing it.

"Ghosts or spiritual beings may be everywhere around us and can also be found in the random structures of my paintings. Because not everyone can see them, I love to make these creatures visible, but only a little so that the viewer can imagine the rest on his own."

Kat Strack

"Maury was the last of the outcasts to peer into the Pool of Ideal Self before returning to aimlessly wander the void together."

I really like what Kat did. I was surprised when I looked at the pictures and watched the piece unfold. Here's how she did it:

....then painted what she saw in the shapes! really cool.

"Haunted, made on procreate with acrylic & gouache brushes, 47 hours"

You killed it Lulu.

"Colored pencil on canvas sheet, 12 x 16 inches. This ambiguous image of ribbon-like ghosts and a soft blue figure provokes the viewer to make a personal interpretation. For some, this scene might contain genuine horror, or the growing glow of hope."

I see a mix of both. The figure looks very pained and anxious. But I actually find the ribbon-like ghosts as kind of peaceful. Like the central figure can't quite see it, but there is wonder all around.

"A ghastly naked ghost that is stealing the covering off an old picture frame to cover himself up!
This piece is Acrylic & modelling paste on Canvas (9”x12”) with a recycled wooden frame and tea-dyed cheesecloth. Canvas and cloth adhered with Heavy Gel Matte Medium."

And that's it! Thanks for participating everyone! such a good collection of art!

I find them all thought provoking and interesting, not just to look at but the different techniques involved. As you've already put it, nailed it..
