Painting Process-Crossroads Joe (Fantastic Beast) (Patreon)

This is the full process with commentary of my painting "Crossroads Joe." In this video I talk about the origin of the idea for the beast, I wanted to take a medieval dragon and make it American. 

I talk about creating a "Frankenstein" version in Photoshop and coming up with a value scheme.

Making a small study of the painting to experiment with colors and get a feel for the structure and shapes.

I walk through the priming, underpainting, and coloring of the final painting.

Then I talk about some of the mythology behind this piece that I thought of while working on him. As well as some of the ways that I relate to the different animal features of Crossroads.
