I’ve been working on this painting for months.

Getting all the little details right

But it was driving me crazy.

Couldn’t figure out why.

It was because of all the details. Distracting from the bigger shapes.

I needed to go back to the bigger shapes.

that meant destroying details

Being precious with art means that you care about it which is good

Being precious with art also means not being open to change

Which is not good
