I just start them. 

Sometimes there's this pressure to finish something before moving on to the next thing. I think that thats good because it forces you to just work through it to get to the next piece.

But lately with figuring out all this new patreon stuff, and getting a new job and just general life changes, I've had a hard time finishing pieces.

I got all these little funky sized canvases recently. And they call me like the twins from the shining. "come play with us, Parker..." 

But then I feel like that meme where the guy is looking away from his girlfriend to check out girl walking by. 

But treating paintings like that isn't good. You should make them as good as you can, but you shouldn't treat them like the love of your life who you would never stray from. Actually unlike relationships, going behind your painting's back for a younger sexier canvas, might actually improve your painting by giving you fresh eyes and some confidence.
