The first Swap Class used to be an introduction, telling the students about the purposes of the class, giving an overview, and scheduling pairs to have their brains swapped. But as the technology advanced, the added scheduling wasn’t needed. Still, many students found it quite chilling to see their classmates swapping bodies right before their eyes.

The first pair to be swapped this semester was Ashley and Derek. As the popular cheerleader eyed up the dorky nerd, she wanted to protest -- but she also knew she couldn’t afford to fail this class, so she sucked it up.

They both sat in the chair and put the devices on, then the swapper did its job.

“This is gross. I can actually feel...” Ashley said as he words trailed off, but the sentence quickly resumed from Derek’s body, “...my thoughts entering his body. Ew! I can actually feel being him!”

“Is it over?” Derek asked now inside Ashley’s body, “It feels over.”

“One moment,” The teacher warned as the electrical current connecting the two brains subsided. Ashley and Derek took the devices off, still in shock that they were going to have to be each other for the entire semester.
