Superman reluctantly agreed to Lex Luthor’s plan. He figured the best course of action was to get Lex out of Kara’s body, and then figure out what to do from there. They were both hooked up to medical equipment and machines as the LuthorCorp staff did their work.

Superman awoke some time later, now inside of Kara’s body. He heard laughter, the laughter of his own voice. At first he thought it was Lex gloating, but the laughter didn’t stop. There was something wrong. Superman could easily overhear the doctors from across the room, as Kara’s hearing was just as sharp as his own.

“His brain is mush,” One said.

“A second swap is simply unfeasible,” Another chimed in.

“That’s not something I want to tell our other patient,” The first one stated.

“I already know,” Superman spoke, “Super hearing is one of my powers, you know? Fortunately for you, I’m not Batman. I’m not vengeful, but you need to work on fixing this, okay? I’ll be fine, but it’s not fair to Supergirl. She deserves to get her body back. I’ll check back in regularly.”

The scientists nodded. As Superman looked at his own body with a mushy brain dead Lex Luthor inside and then he looked down knowing he’s be stuck in Kara’s body for some time, he wasn’t quite sure he believed his own words. He wasn’t sure he’d be okay with being Supergirl. He just hoped the scientists could find a solution sooner rather than later.
