Aiden lived across the hall from Jade in the freshman dorm. It was obvious how much she hated him. Every time he was within earshot, he could hear her complain about “the jocks” or “dude bros” or whatever else. He absolutely knew she was talking about him.

A few days later, Aiden arrived at the required Swap Class, where he’d be swapping bodies with another freshman in his college class. As luck would have it, Jade was in the same class, and the two were paired up. By the end of the day, Aiden and Jade were in each other’s bodies.

At the next class, Aiden couldn’t help but take the opportunity to poke fun at Jade. “Who’s the jock dude bro now?” He laughed.

“I don’t know what you’re so happy about,” She replied, “I can’t imagine you’re enjoying being a small Asian woman half your original size.”

“If you had ever gotten to know me, you’d know I couldn’t care less! But, no, you just made a lot of assumptions based on my appearance. I couldn’t be happier to be you!”

“Well, maybe I just said everything I said because I was jealous. And now that I’m you, I don’t have any reason to be jealous anymore.”

“Tell yourself whatever you need to in order to make it through the semester. I’m gonna enjoy it, for sure!”
