As a researcher, Dr. Atticus Holmes was thrilled to be taking part in the tribe’s ritual that few outsiders have ever even witnessed. While the evening began with him taking copious notes, the members of the tribe insisted he put down his pencil and consume a beverage with them.

Things got blurry after that. When he awoke the next morning, he found himself swapped with one of the women of the tribe, a daughter of one of the elder’s. It was explained to him this was all part of the ritual. Everyone in the village did this after coming of age. The experiences of a different body were considered a blessing.

Dr. Holmes was now fascinated by how such a thing was even possible. The only explanation given was magic infused in the drink, and so Atticus began to look into the ingredients. Most seemed rather mundane, but the water was always taken from one specific pond. He began to look around, wondering what sort of surrounding plant could infuse this water with such fantastical properties. It all seemed impossible, but he was sure there had to be a logical explanation for all of it.
