Other superheroes were eager to help as well, but many found doing so challenging due to being in bodies that now lacked powers, or simply being unfamiliar with the powers their new bodies possessed.

Aquaman, now in the body of Katana, instinctively went to the ocean in hopes of enlisting the help of his aquatic army. But upon arriving, the ocean felt eerily quiet. His immediate worry was that something must have happened to his fishy friends, but the silence was too all-encompassing. And all the life in the water still seemed to be there; he just couldn’t hear it anymore.

Then he realized, without his body, his telepathic connection to the undersea world was severed. He knew this body, Katana’s body, was strong, powerful, and a fierce warrior. But as he gripped her sword in his hand, all he could think about was how he had no idea how to properly wield it, and how he wished someone could hear his thoughts to help.

And that’s when, to Aquaman’s shock, he swore he could hear the sword respond. “I can hear you,” It seemed to say.
