Arnold eventually had no choice but to bring the woman back to his apartment as he tried to explain what was going on amidst a serious of questions.

“So fill me in on the details,” The woman said, “Obviously, I know everything up to the point where we uploaded our memories.”

“Right, and I continued our research about the connection between the brain and life. That woman was dead.” Arnold explained.

“So my research worked! But why did you use our own memories to restore this woman to life. Surely, what ended up happening was foreseeable. I mean, I’m essentially a version of you stuck in this woman’s body!”

“I didn’t! Or at least I didn’t mean to! I had only intended to jolt the brain alive again with a small amount of activity. But I only assume the AI I used to assist used the other files on the hard drive to create a more complete picture. My own memory file was simply the biggest data source.”

“And what the fuck am I supposed to do? I don’t know shit about about who this woman is!”

“All I know about her is that she was dead. I’d hope you’d at least have some of her memories.”

“They aren’t in here! I’m sorry!”
