Hello everyone,

As promised, hereby a status update! I'm very pleased to actually be able to tell that progression on "Big trouble in Bandit's Paradise" is actually going steadily. As you all know, I announced the start of the comic last monday. Since then, I've been tirelessly at work, and I've been managing to reach my daily quota of renders every day. I'm sure you're all curious to know; How far are you actually?

My workflow.

With every comic, I actually work by a specific schedule. To write my comics, I've created a specific method to come to an end product. For this method, I usually have 6 major phases to create a comic. These phases are:

- Script writing period
Writing the story of the comic and laying down a general structure to tell the story. From here, I create a storyboard to see if the story flows correctly.

- Sinking period
During this period, I take a 1 or 2 week break (at least) to get the story out of my mind. Then just before this period ends, I come back to it, re-read the story, and add frames where needed.

- Posing period
By far the longest period, where production is finally underway. I've started posing all of the frames for the story, so that they can be rendered at a later date.

- Render period
All frames are actually getting rendered. The raw comic is taking shape.

- Repair period
All frames that may not have come out as intended will be redone.

- Post Processing period
During this period I create the final renders for the comic. I usually have two rounds of editing during this phase; Universal edits, such as color correction, minor mistake fixing and brightness balancing. After that, I will do a second round of editing to get to the final frames. This is where extra effects etc. get added to a render.

So... where are you now?

Both the script writing period and sinking period have both been completed, and they have been for a while. In other words, I am now in the posing period of the comic. As the cover mentioned, this will be a 91 page comic, and I currently finished 35 frames for rendering. That means that the 1/3rd mark is basically reached, and that I may be finishing the posing period next week.

Although I don't want to make any standing promises just yet, the progression for the comic is going fine as you can see. I am now really hoping that I'll be done with the comic within 2 weeks, and that I'll be able to release it in 2 to 3 weeks as well. I'll keep you all updated around the comic, and I've included some WIP shots for the comic in the meantime. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you all for your patience, and hopefully I'll be able to make all of you happy with Big trouble in bandit's paradise soon!

x Caro~
