Tough... tough week + Sneak Peek (Patreon)

TL;DR: The sneak peeks reveal that the repeatable scenes will feature some new little additions to better align with the story. Additionally, this sneak peek serves to update my patrons on recent events that have added some complexity to the development of the next update.

On Tuesday night, I opted to enhance my laptop's performance by purchasing a new SSD for additional storage. As a precautionary measure, I transferred all my files to external memory on Monday, considering the possibility that my laptop might not support another SSD, and they might need to replace the existing one. On Tuesday, I visited a distant location. I also arranged for the laptop to be cleaned, as it had been exhibiting peculiar noises.

Everything seemed fine until I got home, and suddenly panic mode kicked in. Those project files I thought were safely stored on my external memory? Nope, nowhere to be found. Turns out, my supposed upgrade became a bit of a mess, all thanks to my own slip-up. Luckily, I had other backups for Friend's Harem Corruption, but they only went up to v0.27. So, I had to buckle down, download my own game for v0.28, and work some Renpy magic with the code.

Then came the Koikatsu game snag. No renders because it was in my old SSD and the game wasn't even customized for myself anymore. So I had to download it, use an initial save, and tweak it to fit the scenario, like I usually do. Spent the time between Wednesday and today fixing this entire situation.

While the additional space from the new SSD is a positive, I'm beginning to question if it was truly worth the headache. Anyway, for the rest of tonight, I'm in damage control mode, working to rectify things as they should be. My apologies for the hiccup, and I genuinely regret any inconvenience caused by this information, but I believe it's important to keep you informed. Hopefully, this becomes just an anecdote, and things proceed smoothly from here onwards. I intend to dedicate some time off in the upcoming days, stepping away from other commitments to fully concentrate on this project. I'm optimistic that everything will come together smoothly to rectify my mistake.
