About the New Situation (Patreon)

So... "Her Fallen 0.31" has gained a significant amount of support compared to previous versions, which is really good, thanks!

Now, as much as I wanted to continue the story, unfortunately there wasn't much more to tell, this was planned as I told it in another post, so that I could focus more on increasing my knowledge on how to use Koikatsu and Ren'Py. And "Her Fallen" really helped me improve a lot...!

Now comes what I learned haha:

• Koikatsu renders consume a lot of space. Despite how short "Her Fallen" is in terms of gameplay, the file size was too large. I have to be more careful in that aspect, and I think that a key aspect to solve it is the use of sprites.
• Making Koikatsu renders takes a long time! At first it seems easy to create a story and I tell it from my own experience, but this... was more challenging than I expected. Rendering with Koikatsu takes a lot of time (especially if you take into consideration that I use... not the best laptop for the job). This mini-project took me about a month to complete... and I worked a day like 7-8 hours... yeah I took this project as a job.
• I really enjoyed doing "Her Fallen". Every time I woke up in the morning I was like... yeah, this is so good. Writing, rendering, coding, publishing all of it was a lot of fun. Like it made me have a purpose somehow haha
• I have the need to make my own maps, to be able to... imitate what the big boys do!

Limitations:

• Not an ideal laptop: I've had too many problems when it comes to my laptop being slow when running Koikatsu (sniff)
• Studies/work: Let's say that last month was special, because I had 30 days in which I dedicated 7-8 hours of work to "Her Fallen". But, the money is running out and I need to get a job. Also, I want to improve my English (mainly grammar) to be able to do a more consistent job when it comes to writing, so I'm thinking of studying advanced English at some institute. So the amount of time I'm going to spend working on my projects won't be as much as before, but I'll keep working on my NSFW because I love doing it. So... if the updates don't come as fast as before, you know why... sorry :(

Community Changes:

• Discord is going to have more participation in this community, I want to use that platform to post my daily updates (how far I progress per day) or things that I want to share with you that are funny, interesting, etc. So if you haven't, please join: Discord. However, this does not mean that the weekly updates will disappear, because they are a key aspect of this patreon. Only the daily updates are going to dissapear from the "About" of this patreon.
• I'm going to be a little stricter when it comes to membership benefits, as well as some minor changes to the different tiers of this patreon that will only affect much... much later.
