Weekly Update! Shinobi: Souls and Dreams (26/02/2023) (Patreon)

So, about finishing the intro by this week, that isn't going to be possible considering the amount of things that I have to do. 

Don't get me wrong, I advanced a lot of things which I'm going to explain right away. But the intro needs to be polished a little bit more, sorry for the inconveniences.

So, about the work that it's done until now, it's as follows.

The introduction of the game is well advanced, but it's not finished yet. It's funcionality works like this:

—You can go to certain places in Konoha to do some stuff, it's up to you to choose where you want to go.

—This introduction is separate within a day in morning, afternoon and night. You can visit a place and stay (with one exception for script reasons) or you can different places on the day.

—The main reason this happens is to move the story forward, having the MC know about the girlfriend he aims to have.

—Then, after some nice previews, you go around to your house and call it a day.

This is extremely important, because meeting each character will open the paths (places and events you can have) in a specific route. So it's importante to make this right.

I also want to follow the philosophy in which most of the decisions have some impact in the game, and I want to make this clear with the introduction.

There could be something little like an actitud the MC has over another character. For example, if you choose "Act sad" with Iruka (1). You will have an specific dialogue when he apologises for his attitude (2)

But, this could be more impactful when specific decisions, such as with Sakura. If you decided to go at a specific place and an specific time, you will be able to have and know each other better, which leads to her liking you more (3). But if this doesn't happen, you are not going to meet her long enough (4) so not love.. This is a particular case, but I found it really cool.
