Hi everyone, this is a public post!

I wanted to take a moment to briefly share what I've been up to in 2023. This year I launched the Career Zine, a 16-page comic that discusses the things you should consider when selecting, changing or leaving a job. That's up on my Ko-Fi right now. It will be launching public soon!

Most of this year I spent focused on colour, as part of a project I named "The DIY Art Degree".

I painted sooooooo many pears

and trees!

The project helped me feel a lot more confident in digital painting.

I also spent this year developing a new webcomic: Skuttleboat Cove! It's a solarpunk crone romance. A comedy! Set in a future town up the sunshine coast of BC.

I'll be developing this project even more in the next year.

Along the way I've also been posting little autobiographical scribbles and illustrations...

If you'd like to see more, I put together a recap document for the whole year. It's a whopping sixty-five pages (!!!) and it is your gift if you pledge at any level. If the recurring payment thing is not your cup of tea, it's also available here on Patreon's little shop feature thingy! Which doesn't allow me to charge less than $3, which is frustrating! So it goes!!

If you want to dig even deeper back into what I've been up to, the 2022 Rewind AND the 2021 Rewind are both on my Ko-Fi for Pay What You Want :)

Next, I will be writing a patrons-only post with a bit more detail about what's coming up in this next year, and that post will include the 2023 rewind document!

Thanks

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported my art throughout the years, in any way. It's not always easy to be a creative person, especially when your work is difficult to contain and doesn't fit an easy-to-explain mould. I've been so grateful to have this space to safely explore and thrash and throw spaghetti at the wall.

If you've ever supported my art in any way - and that includes just reading this and letting it be a part of your life - thank you from the bottom of my little jammy heart. 💜
