Skuttleboat Cove - Character Work (Patreon)

I spent some time working on the characters for Skuttleboat Cove. Above is the introductory character Aspen (they). They're fun to draw because they're squat and kind of grumpy, it's nice to try and exaggerate those characteristics.

Another important character is Zephyr (they) who is in many ways the opposite of Aspen. Everything about them is long and flowey and graceful. They manage a sanctuary for feral cats and adopt out any that can be socialized. Otherwise they try not to get too involved in the drama of others (but they will always listen... ;) 

This yoga-type person at the top is someone who is Aspen's neighbor and gets WAY invested in their quest to find a partner. 

The kid in the bottom half is named Salad which is kind of a running joke among the older members of the community. (I thought it would be funny to pepper Simpsons references and other millennial-isms among these older characters)

Some other various characters that I'm working on, some are Aspen's love interests, some are other villagers. The trio at the bottom left are Salad's parents (poly). Top right I started drawing something thinking he might be some kind of mayor figure but he ended up not beying mayorly at all, so now I'm not sure who they are.

Lots more characters to be designed, but I had fun drawing these main ones :)
