August Round-Up! (Patreon)
Content
The header image this week commemorates a security hacker getting doom to run on a tractor's software (which, if you're familiar with the right-to-repair movement, is a really big deal!)
Thanks for upgrading your pledge 🎉Keith, 🎉Geoffpb and 🎉Bearperson!
Just a reminder that Shenzhen Fast is currently posting on Mondays! :) so if you missed it while it was posting here on Patreon it's a great time to catch up on the pages, or to share it with a friend! :D
But what else went down this month...

The career zine is finished! Make sure you get your copy of the full pdf and Patreon-exclusive making-of! Thanks so much everyone for your support of this project, it was fun to put together :) I will be launching the for-sale pdf to the public this month, and it will go free-access after Shenzhen Fast wraps.

Since I'm in a skill-building and experimentation phase now between projects, I posted some sketches of monsters as well! We'll probably be seeing a bit more sketches and practice here and there for awhile.
$7 Lab Techs
This month behind the scenes I posted some more deliberate practice: I drew many many rocks. It's more interesting than it sounds. To me anyway!!!!!!!!

I also posted the pencils to the next helpful guide I want to release:

The Q3 shipment has gone out, this time it has a sticker that is VERY SHINY and celebrates the research holes that I (and others) tend to fall down.
Last quarter I shipped out two new books directly from the printer, so this month I finally have a chance to send out all the other bits and bobs I made for VanCAF. Including all the risographic printing I did! You can finally see in your own hands what the buzz is about.
Hey Neat
I liked this video exploring the concept of "the canvas of babel". It really interested me because the way the random pixels are... it's a bit like a diffusion model, isn't it?
Jam IRL
I went to the Richmond Night Market recently and got a drink that I didn't realize had a blinky single-use LED "ice cube" in it??? This is a bad trend, please don't do this 😭... I got very mad about it............
Happy Labour Day weekend!
