January Round-Up!(?) (Patreon)

Ok so once again I had grand designs about what I wanted the header image to be... and I ran out of time! Every year I choose a kind of "motto", and this year's motto is "don't be afraid to let people see you trying." (- Evelyn from the Internets) I chose to draw this image because it seemed really hard. So I'm going to keep at it and maybe next month you'll see something closer to what my original vision was... :) In the meantime..........

Bit of an odd-duck for a round-up because I don't have much to update you on, since I'm just coming out of hiatus. (Here is the December round-up if you're a newer Patron and would like to see what I've been posting lately, and why I went on a brief break.) Everything is scheduled up for the month, and we'll have a fun month ahead with Shenzhen Fast posting at the $1 level, Career Zine posting at the $2 level, fun surprises at the $5 level and even some comix at $10! I have been having new ideas for stories lately, so I'm excited to dig into those :))

Wasted Talent Rerun - Indefinite Hiatus

I did some soul-searching during my break and unfortunately decided that it doesn't make sense to continue with the Best of Wasted Talent for now. It was a surprising amount of work to keep it going, and all of the metrics I was using to track success for it were going down instead of up, so I decided it's best to take a step back and re-evaluate. Also as I mentioned before, my website has been really struggling, so I'm probably looking at another overhaul there in the meantime. I'm not opposed to bringing it back to Webtoon at some point... especially since Clip Studio just recently released a bunch of tools that would make it wayyyyyyyy easier... but that's a decision for another day.

The Tradewaiters is Back! The podcast-graphic-novel-review-club I'm a part of is back to recording episodes, and we recently reviewed Saga! Next we'll be reading Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me and the new adaptation of Slaughterhouse Five. I've just finished both the books and they are both very good so that should be a fun discussion.

Kankuro (my third foster catte) was adopted last month! I was very sad to see him go, but very happy that he found the perfect forever-home. 

I put together a hilight reel for him if you'd like to see all the tricks I managed to teach him. (His 'official' name was Daryl). I'm hoping to get a new catte soon, keep your fingers crossed  for me!!
