Moss Zine! Page 2-3 (Patreon)

As I mentioned previously, I want to put together a small moss zine in time for TCAF! I finished two of the pages this weekend. I started with 2-3 because those were the "scariest" pages of the zine, to me. I'm pretty proud of myself, because the mosses actually do look like what I was studying... or at the very least, different enough from each other ;). This is the first Serious Project I've attempted in gouache! 

Before starting in on the actual layout I had to complete some research onto different types of moss, to decide what I wanted to feature in the zine. I mostly did web research -- I was sick with a cough last week and used that as an opportunity to just look up moss all day hehe

Then I gathered up all my reference photos from mosses I've spotted throughout the past two years on my hikes. As you can see there are a lot! I love taking photos of moss...
