Retro Tom

Michael & Lexa met back in 2000 on her show Andromeda when Micahel guest starred on an episode, they started dating then but I'm not sure when they got married. Andromeda had just ended so I believe he made the suggestion to hire her when they were looking to cast a new Doctor

Gee, two whole weeks, maybe longer, and I still haven't thought of hardly anything to say . The one comment I did have, about Shanks and Doig meeting on Andromeda is the one comment that beat me here. :) Such is life. Glad your mental health is improving.

Really enjoyed these 2 episodes. I really like Daniel and Vala together I like the Ori storyline, they seem very powerful. It will be nice to see them deal with new threats we havent seen before. The clipshow episode last season did have a purpose and introduced new technology that we might see more of at some point. Love how much you genuinely care for Vala after just a couple episodes. Especially when its hard for you to like new characters this many seasons deep in a show. Cant wait for more!

It occurs to me that a puzzle based on the mirror image of a present day numbering system from earth (a gimmick used on The Simpsons by the way) makes no sense from the point of view of a test designed by ancients eons ago. As someone who complains when someone else puts no effort into making something stupid fit the plot I will posit that the advanced AI behind this whole system can read minds, decipher the numbering system and physically create the tiles in real time. Yes it's mighty stupid. But it's the best I can do.

Daniel

Hearing Vala's screams as the fire finally reaches her body and she is instantly set on fire was truly next level horrifying. However, the one thing I did like in that scene was when Daniel went up and held the burnt corpse. It looked like he was giving her a sort of half hug. He was showing reverence to someone who was already dead at that point and given that he never really liked her, I thought it was sweet of him to do that.

The final scene with Vala's burning is one of the most disturbing scenes I have seen in tv. The sound of here screams and the music always unnerve me. Its good that they resurrected her at the very end rather than waiting until the start of the next episode because by the look on your face you look like you were done with the show
