I do have to say, i think it was a bit anti climatic that his mom just died. I was hoping it would be a fake out where it turns out she didnt die. Not a bad episode though, these 2 episodes are really really good, its just that one thing that bothered me a bit. I do feel bad for Juliette, unlike most people i actually really liked her character. Sometimes the writing did her dirty but overall i really liked her and she was being heavily influenced by this Hexenbiest that she suddenly just became. Its like power overload and she wasnt thinking straight. Adaline and others were born as them so they were able to control it but Juliette was just thrown into it all of a sudden. I completely understand why she acted the way she did but i can also acknowledge she did some bad things. I can see she feels guilty about it which is good to know she still has some of the old Juliette in her. It just feels like she doesnt want to do these things but the influence is so strong. Thats why she came back to nick and after he almost killed her she switched again.

The fact they killed Nick's mum off without having the actress who played her in the episode always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Your theory on Jack being Renard was right on. I thought of the same parallel between Buffy – Afterlife and the ‘Hitch Hiker” story arc here. I’m kind of glad they did resolve Renard’s “hitchhiker” problem quickly. It was interesting but thet tend to drag things out a bit on this show and there a LOT going on right now. Juliette really seems to be working with the Royals now. Definitely changed sides. She damn near killed Monroe, that’s worse than burning the trailer. Well Adalind giving up her Hexenbiest was wasted, no one thought what if Juliette breaks the jar. Kept some on the side, just in case. Adalind didn’t drink that much, there was plenty. FYI side note: It was mentioned Prince Kenneth (the Wesley replacer) has the the last name Bowes – Lyon. That’s Queen Elizabeth’s (RIP) maiden name. So evidently, they are related. Now we know how Ken is a Royal. Aww, poor people got killed by the Verat because Julliette pointed them out to Ken as a handy house to spy on Nick from. Wow, that baby grew up quick or maybe more time has passed them we thought. They are never really clear on that. Damn, now Juliette has her with the Royals. They removed the cuffs from Renard on purpose so that the hitch hiker would believe the sham and so he could try to escape so they would be forced to “kill him”. It’s all part of the plan. I thought the line “I hope this hurts!” from Rosalee when injecting Juliette a bit out of character. This is Juliette after all, someone who just recently was her closest friend. I get she threatened Monroe but still, just doesn’t feel like Rosalee. Holy Shit, they killed Nick’s mom and left her head in a box for him to find. That’s COLD. Really good acting too by David Giuntoli. Well, I think the relationship between Nick and Juliette is over. Killing mom is usually a deal breaker. Even if she didn’t do it directly, she made it possible. Noticed the name of episode, kind of droll.

Every time an episode has a room number, address, or other location with a number in it, the number is a mashup of the episode and season. For example, Wu called in a 421 on police radio right before being captured by “Jack”, that was Season 4 episode 21.

The line "I hope this hurts!" from Rosalee was to Reynard not Juliette and she was hoping it hurt "Jack" when she said that since he was the one strangling her and threatened to snap her neck. I don't think her saying what she said was out of character.
