Liz is 17, he is likely 19, possibly 20. A 2 year age difference is fairly normal (and fyi age of consent in New Mexico is 17).

The Romeo and Juliet Law also allows you to date within a 4 year age gap. So a 17 year old could legally date a 21 year old (not saying they should but they can).

This was a hilarious and chaotic episode, I loved Max and Kyle being drunk together, Kyle was pretty entertaining in this episode with his line delivery and reactions. Maria walking on the stage and then straight off the stage, me everyday, but I'm glad she was able to perform and she sounded great. I feel like they could have kept the song going during the end moments, I think it still would have worked with the scene. I know that guy is probably only 18 or 19, so not far off in age from Liz, but the line delivery from that guy was creepy. I liked everything with Michael and Isabel in this as well, I liked Isabel assuring Michael she would be there for him.

There is legit a recording of you watching episode 1x13 ...I can show you the footage ...You were MOST DECIDEDLY repeating Dido about half a second after she sung the lyrics ....This is not a case where you can be like "No that's not true" ...There's proof 2. Oh fuuuuuck no.... Maria entered Liz into a blind date contest ....Boundaries mah gurl! I'd be pissed off too if I was Liz 3. Also.... Liz is a high school student... You'd think there'd be an age limit to enter that contest cause yeah ...What if this "mystery date" would be some dude who is twice her age ....They're literally gonna set up a high school girl with a date ...That seems dodgey as FUCK. 4. Sooooooo... If Liz is still interested in Max ...Why is she agreeing to go on this mystery date?? She could just not show up 5. Ok so the mystery date is a university freshmen ...Meaning he's like 17 or 18 (I checked the age range of university freshmen) compared to Liz who was born in 1983 meaning she's roughly 16 years old by the time of this episode ....Not much of an age gap AT ALL but I'm SURE. that a guy who is already in university would have things in mind that you probably shouldn't be doing with a 16 year old ...At the very least I bet Liz's parent would NOT. be happy with this whole.. VERY PUBLIC ..blind date contest that Maria set Liz up with 6. How fucking awkward is this date?? With all the cameras on them and all the people looking?? Getting told they need to kiss cause it'd look good on camera? ...UGH 7. Max is an alien... Why would he think to listen to Kyle when he got told "one drink" ... "What would it hurt"???? Again... Dude is an alien ...We have ZERO clue on how alcohol would affect an alien ....So yeah ....Not surprised one TINY swig made him drunk ...Max was being stupid 8. Max... One of you're super powers is Photoshopping! ....Can I interest you in some PNG's? 9. Damn straight ...What's so great about normal? ..My sentiment exactly Max! ...I'll take crazy and weird and unexpected every day of the week 10.
