Yes, the flashback sequences start shortly after Boba fell into the Sarlaac on Tatooine, during the events of Star Wars Return of the Jedi and showcase his 5-year journey up until he meets up with Mando. The Jawas stealing his armor at the start would then sell the armor to Cobb Vanth only shortly after the destruction of the 2nd Death Star at the end of Return of the Jedi. I gotta say, I do prefer the more scuffed up look of the Boba's armor compared to the freshly painted version we saw in Mandalorian season 2. Although they changed up his helmet design again, weirdly enough. In Mando season 2 it was pretty much 1 for 1 as it was in the OT. But it is also not the first time something like this happened. I think Jango's helmet in Attack of the Clones also wasn't fully the same as in the OT. Yes, the Trandoshan gifted Boba a Wookie pelt. Trandoshans are famously known to hunt Wookies for sport, due to their planets being so close to one another and Wookies being very comparable in physical capability to a Trandoshan. Subsequently an interspecies feud between them sparked and it's pretty much kill or mutulate on sight between the two. Also fun fact: The green Twi-Lek who offered to clean Boba and Fennec's helmets is possibly transgender or intersex. You can tell because he has horns on his temples. That is a biological trait of female Twi-Leks, serving the same purpose as the ears on male Twi-Leks. And it's definitly not an oversight because the mayor's assistant is also a male Twi-Lek and has ears.
