Patrick - Excelsior

I really like this episode too. First we get the long-awaited return of Nick’s Mom and once again she is very badass. Taking out 6 Verat in minutes. We find out she is working with the resistance. We find out what the Wesen see when they look at a Grimm and why they appear so frightening to them. *side note I don’t like that wedding dress either. We get more baby doing weird shit, but we also get an explanation as to why the baby can do this stuff. It was the ritual returning Adalind’s powers (presumably). The scene with Nick, Juliette, Adalind and Nick’s mom was so funny. It was funny how they kept on realizing the different ways they are connected and why it’s a bad idea for Adalind to stay with Nick and Juliette. Then we get it more as Renard gets involved. Can’t wait to see next episode. FYI The reason they keep doing flashbacks when scenes are described is that the network was VERY reluctant to do continuous story lines. The dvd releases were happening 2 years after the episodes and the bigwig were worried about new viewers getting confused about backstory and tuning out. Ratings on show were not where they wanted them for the cost of production, so new viewership was necessary. This was one of the first continuous story line show (except soap operas) that NBC did.
